I seen like 30 skateparks and theres no skateboards for the players or just the "random people" what's with that? I would love to skateboard around. Maybe rollerblades and roller skates too.. Remember the roller skaters in VC and SA? I can see them allowing peds a skateboard, but i don't see them letting the player. Skateboards are a bit more of a problem. I agree that there should be skaters but how do you implement it in a non ridiculous way? I suppose you could just have them turn into physics props that the player can't directly use? Nothing wrong with that and it at least would be adding some life to the world. Some people need to understand some stuff is added just to flesh out the life of the city; to add to the fauna. Not everything has to be interactive. What's next? Lot's of stuff are there in Los Santos, but... I can imagine that they probably were trying to make them but perhaps they couldn't make them work as intended by the time of the release. As for player getting it, I don't think so, I guess if they do make a skateboard and peds using them, when you shoot/hit or do anything else to the ped, skateboard would become just an object that you can push around but not use... and then you'd have tons of people complaining how they should have made it usable etc... And if they made it usable just for basic riding and jumping, people would be complaining how it suck that you can't do any tricks... so it's a no win situation for Rockstar. So for now, places like skate parks are just part of the scenery.. you know, because they also exist in real life and are supposed to paint the picture of a realistic city, without having any purpose for the player (just like someone already explained above with gym, casino etc.).
