Guldemond Posted June 21, 2014 Share Posted June 21, 2014 Howdy, I'm new here, and I was banned recently for two weeks. I have served my ban. My dilemma: I wasn't given a general reason why I was banned, no direction for how to modify my game play, yes I have contacted R* many times, and I don't want to get banned again because the second time is for life. This is the part where somebody says "well you violated the terms of use somewhere kid"; however, I did not violate them in the way my punishment reflected. I was lvl 69 with ~$1.1mil; I'm now lvl 10 with ~$1.1 mil. I don't know how to cheat with the RP, but my punishment indicates that R* decided I did. My best guess is playing Coveted and Potshot with my friends is what got me in trouble? The only way I did violate terms of use might be with my choice of words during gameplay over the headset. This is why I'm reaching out to the knowledgable people here, hopefully you guys have seen this before or can shed some light on the situation. I've never cheated in gta 5, (not even cheat codes on single player) so it would be a shame if something like this happened to me. I got a mic ban once for 3 days, I wasn't particularly vulgar leading up to the recent ban. R* support told me they "didn't think the hate speech was the likely cause but could not say for certain without the details" although when I try to get the details they say that the specific information for my ban isnt available yet. IF that is the reason he got the ban in the first place it adoesn't justify to be knocked down that far. Either way - R* isn't taking away 59 levels for nothing. You won't get them back so it's best to accept it and move on. I would avoid playing with your buddy if you aren't hosting the missions. Right around the time I was level 10 I played a few missions with a friend I don't play with ever, he was level 600 or something, this was in like November or October. He hosted the missions.
