White Rabbit [Setting PvP Lures & Traps]

Do you ever find yourself setting traps for other players?

One of my favorites is to attach a Sticky-Bomb to my car and then go into Passive Mode.

I then get curious players to come close to me while I'm on foot.

I walk slowly over to my vehicle and these players train their gun on me, waiting to shoot me in the face as soon as I enter my car.

But I'm busy spamming Left on the D-Pad. Before they get a chance to shoot me, boom.

Suicide + A Kill, all while I'm in Passive Mode.

I unfortunately don't get the chance to play much free roam anymore, but back when this sorta thing was my preferred tactic. I've never been much of a run&gun type, never really into twitch shooters. Like OP I've always tended towards the tactical side. I'd have loved proximity mines back in the day.

I do find they're especially good for chases these days. Entice some nOOb to follow you down an alley. The problem is you can only carry so few of them.

My favourite places used to be the parking garage - especially the staircase. You be amazed & disappointed how many people get bamboozled by that place. & that other building nearby whose name escape me, across the street from the hospital, was good for sniping & defending. & the clocktower was good for luring people when you had a bounty. Stuff like that. People only ever were in that area chasing bounties tho, unless they were random jerks looking to kill everyone.

There's a tight alleyway I frequently use as a trap, it's littered with cardboard boxes/trash and can barely wide enough for one car. It's somewhat elevated and off the edge are two swimming pools. One small mistake and you'll clip something and fall into either of them.

I had an Insurgent chasing me, lured him in and carefully drove through, he tried to follow and fell into the swimming pool, destroying his own vehicle, the pool is deep enough so that even if you hop out of the vehicle you are still unable to equip a gun

Needless to say, I blasted him with an auto shotty and made him pay 16k for his Insurgent

With regards to freeroam traps, if I get chased I drive straight into the CoDZone.

I never get shot. I'm either too fast or I'm too valuable a heist member to piss me off.

The other guy? Not so much.

None of what you said makes the slightest bit of sense.

At best, it's epeen for your fake skills and rep. Your too valulable a heist member to be shot? Bitch, please.

Last page you were boasting about wiping out your other team mates after a Heist mission as well. You are just a little squeaker who cannot take being 'just another GTA V player' can you?

No, I like to piss people off in forums. Specific ones, like SJWs.

This is the prefered way to play for me!

It's extremely rewarding to lure and excavate a muthaf*cka's life in an situation he never expected.

It's better when I use multiple people but

We put hits on people (recruiting by the way lol)

I've done sh*t like get a couple kills in a scramble,

retreat to a place where a group of my goons are off the radar....with auto shotties..

or mini guns..

or Combat MG/Sweeper playing the EMPTY game.

and they all unload for the kill. don't matter who got the kill.

Make em feel like a real hit was put on that ass! It's easy to just smoke someone.. but to coordinate and execute a muhf*cka is a whoooole other type of satisfaction.

How about a trap that takes some balls: Go off radar when someone is watching you. Then walk towards them like people do when they leave the game. When you get close enough stab them.

I did this once. Engaged in a shootout with random. Ran around a corner, went off radar and changed my outfit to police uniform and hid my weapon. He went off radar too but was sprinting and carrying his weapon making it very obvious he was the player. Walked right past him before equipping a knife and turning around to stab him

I like to do the classics as well:

Open car door (preferably passengers). Put stick bomb on either the inside of the door or in the car itself.

The dude won't hear the ticking from the outside if the windows are intact.

Ingredients:

1 x multi-storey car park

1 x proximity mine

Directions:

Get chaser to follow you into a multi-storey car park. Don't get too far away or they may quit and they deserve to die for even starting to chase you. As you go up the ramps from level to level, casually throw a proximity mine near one of the parts where you do a 180 turn. Continue up the ramps and listen for the explosion and squeaker cries.

This method can be extended further if your victim feels the need for revenge. If they do come for you again then they're probably not stupid enough to do it in a vehicle. Firstly, that just failed them, and secondly they'll want to get to you as quickly as possible because of their anger-fuelled hatred. Nearby stairs are a much better bet. Simply wait till they're near the top floor and then drive away, leaving them with the task of making their way back down to ground level before they can call their car. It's not a kill, but it can fuel rage a lot, lot more.

Result:

"Teh lulz"

I lure people in the way everyone else should - kindness. I approach slow, honk my horn to show I'm a friendly and just want to cruise. They get in my car, we drive a few blocks, I jump out and shoot them out of my passenger seat.

Prox mines by apartment complexes work well also.

I'm starting to notice players are becoming very weary of coming back to the PV after being killed in it.

The ProxMine planted outside it is too easy now, and I think players are more aware.

I've been caught in the ProxMine chase, where a player with a Bounty will lure me into a chase.
He'll drive on the left side of the street, while I come up on the right side to avoid being bombed,

only to drive over a ProxMine he placed there minutes before.

I admit though, whenever I'm caught off-guard by a ProxMine or well-placed sticky, I give mental kudos to the player who set the trap.
Can't get mad at someone for being more clever than you.

I take a Hydra, park it in front if LS Customs, or anywhere near clusters of players, and plant a couple sticky bombs on it. Go any hide nearby and wait for someone to come by. Not many people can resist a Hydra.

I love putting a ProxMine on the driver door of any Insurgent. Not only does it cause a kill, it doesn't blow up the vehicle because of the armor.
