Here are some few things they dod to RR without telling us

when player goes up the bridge to wait for car with briefcase to spawn it automatically says briefcase destryed after other players finished wiping out enemies

 

when chasing the guy in car with briefcase theu make the car ultra weak. Few pistol bullets can blow it up making the mission fail

 

these two things theu did so the mission fails more than once so people waste time playing again. Whats next guy holdimg briefcase drives in a zenterno or entity makimg it hard to kill them

 

Coveted

cobeted has two things. I notoced taking out all enemies and i looked to see any rpg guys near the box but ther was none as soon as o got into the cargobob he spawned infront.

 

I decoded to land and as soon as i dod the RPG AI vanishef when i got back in he appeared

 

when u land cargobob it set on fire

 

when delivering heli follows u. Its already smoking becoz how weak the heli is now a heli that shoots makes it harder

 

these little things not mentioned are put in place so we fail and we repeat the mission

Just FYI, Rooftop Rumble can still be easily and repeatedly grinded. Under 4 minutes to complete solo, im almost at my million'th dollar made tonight.

I hate Rooftop Rumble. Takes so long to earn so little money. Martin is not worth my time.

I know but RR had secret things done to it. They knew people go ahead on the brodge and wait for breifcase to spawn. If u do that it sails fail. Also the car is weak on purpose so briefcase gets destroyed

 

Coveted is facepalm. Rpg AI that spawn only when ur in heli

I hate everything about Rooftop Rumble. The stupid AI. The stupid aim bot. The stupid OP weapons they use. The stupid guys in the parking lot that are a waste of time. The stupid bug where you can't get in vehicles when you have the documents. The stupid drive to Martin's house. I hate it. Only for a little bit of cash.

RR is laughably easy and has been since the beginning. None of the changes they've made are that much more difficult, just more time consuming, so instead of completing it in like 3:50, it now takes between 4-5 minutes. You can still make over 200k an hr.

 

And unless you have friends who are good and know exactly what to do, it's always going to be faster doing the mission solo.

Exactly, for RR, I notice we should not anticipate the document guy. IF you happen to see the document guy spawning before marked as Green Dot, it'll fail the mission. Dumbf*cks didn't even bother to patch it after one month, so this is intentional.

 

Everything you say are right. They're there just to fail the mission. It's very obvious to me since the first time. The way they put things is just too idiot for an experienced developer to do.

Rarely takes me more than an extra minute if that now....

Yep they added them in so mission fails on purpose. Coveted is the worse AI spaswns when in cargobob as soon as u land the AI vanished and when u get into cargobob it sets on fire.

RR yday failed twice. Once coz brodge spawn is messed up and second coz car is so weak the new pistol made it blow up with only 5 shots

The way they changed coveted looks rushed and a kid made it by randomly placing cars all over the hill. Why change it when they can make it coveted 2

That's only the AP pistol. Use the Micro SMG, that shouldn't blow the car up as easy.

Ye even smg can blow up the car but i used newly weak pistol and most hit were at the driver but for some reason it blew up. Maybe they changed it again so it blows up easier

I still think he's right about the car being made super weak. I was with another player and we were both using our generic pistols to shoot at the driver and within a little more than a dozen shots it exploded. I thought maybe it was because he rammed into the car pretty hard a couple times before that but it did seem pretty abrupt and if other people think so I'm inclined to agree.

 

RR is actually pretty easy to solo, while Coveted is just about impossible to solo now. The back left-most spot in RR is my go to for clearing out people inside the parking area, while taking cover against the back right-most spot provides cover against the car that spawns near the base of the bridge. Wipe out the occupants then jump in your car, as the documents will spawn as soon as one of the two cars has all of its occupants killed.

Trust the car is super weak i used the new pistol no ramming into drivers car and it blow up in few shots.

Coveted i soloed but when i had to collect the box ai spanwed and i landed got back in and cargobobs on fire

As someone who actually goes to the bridge behind the building from the very start of the mission, I can confirm this is false.

 

The documents get destroyed because someone blows up one of the two cars that come after you clear the garage out. For some reason, the game sometimes thinks the documents are in one of those vehicles despite the real doc car not even spawning in yet.

 

As far as the "Out of lives" despite there still being players alive random fails, I have no explanation for those. They seem to be quite random.

 

All I know is this: Kill the people in the garage, just ignore the two cars that come in after(You may get a random SUV too with two more guys inside), wait for both document prompts, then chase down the car with the Vintage pistol(I've been using it lately and it works amazingly well, accurate and not too much damage, easy headshots everytime) and you're set.

 

It's pretty simple, I do this every single time I play it and it doesn't let me down. The only time we fail is when I get randoms who go insane with blowing sh*t up or chasing the car down despite me already going after it and causing it to blow up.

 

But my point in all of this is, no, sitting on the bridge does NOT cause you to fail.

No, just no. Go spread your conspiracy theories somewhere else.

 

I can play both these missions all day long and they'll only fail through player error. Take your time, be thorough when killing enemies and you will have no issues. Go charging in at 100mph, leaving half the enemies still alive and chances are (especially on Coveted now there is the guy with the RPG) you'll fail. Same goes for most missions, these are nothing new. you'd know this if you played more than just Coveted and Rooftoop Rumble.

 

Occasnional glitches are to be expected and the same can be said about any game.

For RR, this is what I noticed. There are 2 kinds of "Document was Destroyed" I've tested so far.

 

1. Document Guy spawned alongside the two reinforcements. Appear as red dot and driving hostile towards you and even get out to shoot you. Happened to me many times and when this guy is killed, there goes Mission Failed.

 

2. Two reinforcements come and supposedly killed, then experienced players would anticipate the Document Guy to come. If any of those players happen to see that guy spawn on screen, then the mission failed. I did some test and purposely watch the supposed spawn area which is around the bridge. I may be wrong, but this is most likely the cause of "no document guy spawn".

 

To Solo RR, I will do it with Sniper approach. This approach (as suggested by a member here) requires you to not stepping into the marker to avoid reinforcement. Clean them as much as you can and go to the other side to clean the rest in case your sight was blocked. Once cleaned, get the f*ck out and wait for the Green Dot to spawn and shoot.

 

For "Mission Failed: Out of Lives" bug, it happens not just on RR - and after patch 1.13, to be precise.

 

For Coveted:

 

Best thing you can do is to do it in the afternoon and use sniper to clean everyone as much as possible before approaching the site which makes the timer start. I once read a member sharing his experience that he received "Mission Failed: An Enemy was Killed" after killing one of them with this approach. So yeah, since that "An Enemy was Killed" didn't type itself, it seems f*cktards at Rockstar want us to rambo down and die. Anyway, once the cargo picked up, Rockstar bastards have set an evil plan to pull your sh*t down. Solo this and you'll run the risk of blowing up halfway. Well, I don't think bringing friend to your Cargobob will be helpful due to the robocop accuracy enemies on helicopter. All I can say is "Congratulations" if you happen to survive it.

Bridge camping, you can't be there but your car can be. This is why your sniper rifle comes in handy. Other strategy is too block the street above the bridge creating a inverted L blockade

RR:

  1. Just don't face the area where the document driver spawns. Doing so will render the car 'destroyed'.
  2. Agree about this one. Just drive ahead of him and look back and shoot him with the new Vintage Pistol.

Coveted:

  1. Random bug. Happened to me in other games.
  2. What? I never had any problem. I always land the Container and the Cargobob to snipe/blow up the incoming Maverick and never had suck problem :/

Just did Rooftop Rumble. Camp on the bridge, faced the general area where the documents spawn, not a single problem. Mythbusted.

I played Coveted for the first time today in several months and it surprised me how much they buffed it, They didn't even buff RR as much as they did Coveted...

 

Thank god i don't need money that i need to grind anything, I can actually play missions for fun and not make it like a job

It's not that bad. It's still pretty easy once you know the changes. Just snipe everyone in sight before you trigger the timer, make sure you get the guy with the RPG and collect the container. Ignore teh enemy chopper and you're golden. Easy as the last easy thing, just takes a bit longer.

Haven't done RR, but Coveted is almost impossible to be done solo.

Those stupid RPG NPC's who shot you only while you're in the Cargobob, and then those stupidly-horrendously-accurate shooters from the enemy helo.

Coveted RPG AI always spawn before I'm in the bob. Ofc I just mow through everything with my tank in a 16 playlist.

I have done both of these jobs solo many times since they've been 'updated'.

 

Rooftop Rumble:

Never had any problem with the case spawning because I'm still finishing off the enemies when it spawns.

 

Never had any problems with the fleeing car being too weak, AND I use the AP Pistol. The trick is to only aim at the driver, and only the driver. I also find using my Bati gives me better control of the gun than if I was using a car.

 

Coveted:

Enemy spawn problems, these happen far more when you have others doing the job with you due to draw limitations and somebody in the lobby having bad interntet (this causes the enemies to appear to vanish, even though they have not). Doing it by myself, I have never before, nor have I seen now, any enemy spawn problem. I still stand at the top of the hill and snipe them all, same as before the update.

 

Not sure what issues you're talking about with the Cargobob, I never have any damage when I pick up the crate. Maybe you're banging into the crate or cliff, when this happens all choppers take damage and are quite fragile.

 

As for the chopper giving chase, it has never caused me to fail the mission. I've found that you can even do it without even being fired on. One method, fly like a bat out of hell to the water, and then make a bee line for the target without slowing down, by the time I drop the crate the other chopper is only just catching up. But the method I do now is even more fun, go over the water and make for land like before, but you will soon notice a bunch of power lines and electric towers. I fly low, but fast and zigzag between them. This does one of two things, one, the following chopper hits one and blows up, or two, the following chopper slows down and backs off for a second before trying again.
