Crate Drops?

I just got a green circle, and a note about crate drop, is located in Mirror Park, I walked up to the GREY smoke, and nothing was to be collected.... What is wrong?

The crates don't drop until everyone leaves the green area.

the creates don't always drop for some reason...whether your in the circle or not.

Tried that, still just grey smoke... I also see random dead biker bodies in the circle area :S

There normally a little firefight with some NPCs around the crate which would explain why there are dead bodies.

 

Is it possible someone beat you there?

I really dont think so, there is two guys in my session, and they are faaaar off, and theese dead bodies just appeared, there was no gunfight :S

But since there is this smoke signal in the sand, yet no crate there must just be a bug or something...

 

Anyway, im wondering if Crates drops in invite only sessions?

Crate drops stopped working properly couple months after release if my memory serves.....

 

I stopped looking months ago... Irritating as I cant really see it being a complicated bit of code?

for me crates worked in october, then i never saw a single crate drop or armored truck from november til february.

 

in the valentine update they said something like "we have fixed an issue where crate wont drop if a person stand inside or near the green zone" this fix worked til the next patch was released, then crates would get bugged if someone enter the greenzone.

 

so, op your crate would never drop thanks to you entering the zone before receiving the message "crate just dropped"

As said in post above mine, the game won't drop the crate if you go to the green circle before

you get the message A crate/special crate has been dropped but they only work in public lobbies.

 

Never seen any dead bodies around a crate before though so that one sounds bugged or somebody

was off radar and killed the mercenaries that came for the crate.
