"Timed out trying to join session" in public lobby

I keep getting the "timed out trying to join session" message everytime I try to go into a public lobby

 

I just upgraded to the new fastest Rogers internet so I'm not sure what settings I should look into to fix this as my older modem never had this problem, also I'm connected via Ethernet

 

I opened all ports needed for the playstation and set my dns servers to open google DNS 8.8.8.8

And 8.8.4.4

 

I can get into invite only without any problems.

Jokes aside, you can't join public sessions, but can join Invite Only sessions?

Unlink your social club account, then try.

And what about joining an activity but, i'm stuck, and then I get to an empty lobby ?

It happens very often but not always.

I had that trouble when i first started playing

 

My Grandson, came by a worked with my router settings, and gave my PlayStation priority over other things that hooked to my router..........sorry i dont know how or what was done, other than he did it using my computer
