Ready for Paid Content in GTA: Online

233 members have voted

  1. 1. Will you pay for additional GTA: Online content?

    • Absolutely.
    • Only if it's REALLY GOOD Content.
    • I will never pay for additional GTA: Online Content.

I wouldn't mind paid car packs. Like $4.99 for ten unique vehicles that aren't already in game. All R* would need is a compatability patch and you could buy the car packs from there.

Actually, I'd pay for the casino/horse racing as someone else said. I'd love to ride horses again, but with an AK-47 as opposed to the old weapons of RDR.

Nope. I will not be handing them any more of my money, especially not after learning these gen releases were more or less betas for the next-gen editions of the game.

Since I'll be getting a PS4 soon anyways, I'm gonna have to buy the game AGAIN if I wanna actually use it on PS4, so no, I will not be giving any more money than I already have.

Although the one thing I will say, technically I never gave them ANY money since I bought my copy used at Gamestop :D Yeah, it was only 5 bucks cheaper since the game wasn't even 2 months old but I didn't care, it was money saved. Ended up saving 10 since I traded a game in towards it too.

Online will most likely have free DLC/Updates but, prices for items might be a little steep. GTA: Online is like most free apps, free but you can buy enhancements (money, clothes, etc.)and most likely all income will probably be from kush kerds.

Once they finish adjusting the money to make it very hard to stay afloat (some of my friends are going backwards already). They will have enough income from shark cards to not bother charging for dlc. Also its the monthly dlc which is helping keep people poor (which is exactly its goal). I can't see why they would stop releasing the free monthly dlc's because they are a very important part of the business model.

True but remember buying anything is an option.

Paid content = Shark cards

Why split the already small community. No one plays Free Aim, and you want paid DLC to divide the community even more?

If you're referring to compatibility, a simple compatibility update would solve any splitting up issues.

Only if it's something awesome. A mission creator would be good, hell the whole content creator should have been paid dlc as it would have limited the amount of crap there is right now

Elfroam is spot on in my mind. Provided Shark Cards are serving their purpose, R* are better off releasing smaller free monthly DLC's and adjust the prices of items in these DLC's as they see fit to maintain their Shark Card revenue (On the adjusting DLC prices anyone that thinks this is not the case is naive and does not understand anything about running a business).

They are no doubt more than aware that if people need to pay for DLC content, they will expect it to come with the content already use-able. That is, not pay $10 - 20 for a DLC then need to spend an exorbitant amount of in-game cash to be able to make use of the features. In fact I would ONLY pay for a DLC if I then did not need to purchase the content in game also; otherwise I would just get by with the existing content or play another game from scratch. Basically what they are doing with the Story Mode right now.

Only AFTER Heists. And only if it was something cool like a sea plane, pets, new areas, etc.

Only if it's worth my time. When I saw EFLC, I got it ASAP. And that was fun. I hardly played Multiplayer. I was too busy enjoying myself with all the new stuff it had:

- Awesome weapons.

- New side activities.

- 2 new stories.

- New vehicles. (Automobiles, boats, and helicopters)

- New music.

- The awesomeness of the Buzzard. (It's in GTA V but I like how insane the GTA EFLC Buzzard was.)

- Interesting and fun missions. (Like stealing an APC, surviving a plane exploding, having fights and wars with other bikers, shoot outs at night clubs, causing mayhem at a prison, etc.)

If we get something like that for Single Player & Multiplayer, then I'll buy it. If not, then forget it.

If it's worth the money, I'm not gonna pay $5, $10 or whatever just for the same amount of content we were getting when they released free DLCs.

I'll buy the GOTY disc instead if so.

The only type of DLC I would pay for are the cosmetic types, and for the ability to own more garages/apartments. I dislike almost all of the choices for clothing items and masks in the game, and would gladly pay up to $10 for a pack containing nice clothes.

However, if Rockstar would ever realease a paid-only DLC containing godly weapons or buffs that effect combat at all, I'll quit.

Looks like Cops N Crooks *might* be coming soon to GTA: Online based on the most recent *speculation*.

Who here would pay for Cops N Crooks? Being a Law Enforcement fan, if you could play as a cop, I wouldn't mind paying a nice amount for it especially since GTAO is in extreme need of something new to do.

Seriously, I never buy digital download.

I would really just buy the Game of The Year version of the game, or whatever they call it, that has all the DLCs in the disc itself.

I already paid for Shark Cards.... paid DLC will be no problem. In fact, I welcome it.

I would've if money glitches weren't available

Haha there you go. I'm surprised that people actually bought shark cards. I have yet to buy any shark cards.
