New dirty tactic in racing

Lol at people who think pitting is a legal tactic... Not it is not. If you have to pit a guy to beat him, you are point blank an unfair racer.

Blocking is a grey area, purposely brake testing people is a no-no, but blocking an overtake without hitting the guy is fine, sending people to the outside is of course fine.

Pitting people is just dirty, & pretty much if pitting a guy is how you win then you clearly are not very good at racing.

Blocking is "getting in some ones way"... Basically using your car to stop someone from passing.. If you try to block at the wrong time you end up setting your self up for a pit

So its not dirty if thats how it plays out. If you set yourself up for a collision it is what it is..

Also.. blocks can be just as dirty. As in dive bombing a turn and cutting off the racers with the better line in and getting a instant block. That can cause crashes and pitting too.

I mean, i try my best not hit anyone... Especially my racing crew. But in pub racers if players lay it out like im just gonna roll with it.

F1 racers will occasionally block each other.

A lot of F1 racers will dive bomb a turn and cut off the racer with a better line.

I mean just look... F1 is one of, if not, the strictest motorsport.

10. Meh

9. Attempted block

8. Dive bomb and block

7. Cutting the man with the better line

6. Nothing special

5. -

4. Cut

3. Dive bomb

2. ehh

1. Very obvious block

If it's done in F1 then there is nothing wrong with it so it's fine in a video game. This somewhat nulls your point and if you ask me you need to be more aware of your surroundings...

This tactic applies in non-contact & standard racing with randoms. Every time in a race someone will intentionally hit light posts then it will fall on the road where you have no time to react to go around. If you don't, your car flips, depending in what car you're using, sometimes it'll spin out. I encountered this where a crew did exactly the same in Stadium Tour.

I find this extremely annoying because I race to win. Why do people have to ruin the fun in racing..

How about racing properly, i.e not being a dirty cheater? People like you ruin the game f*ck off and die.

This is not F1 or Nascar This is GTA street racing.

What i said is pretty much how it is.

I mean seriously. Some super cars are so low that if you do block them they can pankcake flip you out of the way.

Bottom line, if you choose to block a car you deal with what happens next. If someone blocks me and i ram them out of the way, tuff sh*t

I've seen people jump over 3 lanes to try and block me only to pit themselves out on my front end. Sure i could have slowed down but NO... He could have let me pass. He made the choice to block after all. I made the choice to move over to pass him and hes gonna attempt to block me?

Ya... but... SMASSH the f*ck out of my way. :D

lmao.. I need to be aware? Aware of what? If got a 56" TV with Turtle beaches, im aware of everything.. I can hear a jet comming at me from across the entire map.

The point is. The guy doing the block should beware that once the blocking makes contact that he won't go flying off the road. Bottom line.

Like i said. If you make a block you better deal with what happens. Don't expect players to keep giving you special treatment when you drive like an asshole in public games. They will go right through you and not give a sh*t. If you make a block you better be in position to deal with the the bump that comes with it.

I think you need lay off the F1 and Nascar.. This ain't no mickey mouse and donald duck racing type of game

People do block in most racing types, but irl when your blocked you back off, in gta you get rammed coz the asshat behind you doesn't realise this. Solution.....race with friends and not random asshats.

Even with friends and crew sh*t happens..

If you block at a bad moment players might not be able to slow down fast enough OR are just lagging.

Blocking in gta means more then just getting in their way and forcing them to slow down. You need to pretty much make you sure you have enough pathing in front to deal with the bump that comes with it too.

I see people bring up nascar and F1 but .. This is friggin HARDCORE street racing... Most pub races have slip stream and catch on meaning that players directly behind someone are comming in twice as fast If you try and make a quick block players should expect that huge bump to come with it.

Ding ding ding. You win by knockout.

This is not formula one, this is GTA. Until Rockstar introduces some kind of punishment or restriction for these tactics, they're legit, allowed and not cheating. Whether they're nice things to do to other players is another story, but you don't have to play nice if you don't want to. The main selling point of GTA is freedom, and that includes the freedom to be an asshole in races. Do with it as you please and don't complain about the reactions if you use it.

I'd say with the amount of races Voodoo has under his belt, he is hardcore enough to know what he is talking about.

But yeah, if your going to block, or ram, be prepared to trade paint.

Its probably because they were a crew, you wont find this tactic in a normal non- contact race with randoms often.

This is why it pays to play with a crew that PRIDES themselves on their ability to race clean, properly, & with honor.
