Rockstar needs to create a feature to block non-rockstar verified jobs

I don't know if such features exists, but I'm tired of getting put in those get $10000 and 10000 RP death matches.

This has been suggested to R* a number of times now but no feedback is or ever was provided back to the players.

There is a good and a bad side to having such a feature.

Good: Players having a filtering system can filter out unwanted content. I don't want to play forced weapon DMs, unarmed DMs or a number of popular player created content that isn't verified but still gets played a lot by the public. These are FIB and bank DMs.

Bad: And I mean this in the sense of other features. A lot of players will not have their content played because I for one will block everything except for R* created jobs. And this will go against the content creator. Even though this is a 18+ game, R* prefers to think of us as children and being children they are happy to allow us to be spammed with the sh*ttest DMs known to man.

The content creator should have been a paid DLC rather than giving it to everyone in the game. Majority of players don't even use the content creator. This would then put the CC in the hands of players who want to create good content. This in turn stops the millions of jobs being made, R* will have an easier time checking jobs and verifying proper content rather than the sub-standard jobs we get today.

But back to the filter system - it will never happen. However, I can see a block system being put into the game where we can add jobs to a block list. For instance, if you're tired of getting Prison Thugz Fight, add it to the list and you will never it again. I think that is about as far R* will go to help the community when it comes to getting undesired jobs.

I find it really silly though, I will always exit an unarmed DM no matter how enticing it is to play because I simply despise the melee mechanics in the game. Verified content like Prison thugz fight, saving ryans privates and that one in the city with tanks and jets - I will not play simply because they are sh*t. Plain and simple and I will exit them.

So either way, if R* adds a filter system or not, you will find players leaving those lobbies anyway. R* seems to enjoy giving players more loading time. And I say this because they still have not added a retry option in the error messages to get back online rather than going to storymode and then back online.

The logic eludes me.

One look at most of the GTA players garages should have told R* any content creator was a very bad idea!

The problem with a generic block list is no new verified content would be made, or played.

Avoid the 100000+ $ runk up crap with no description and check the map ie all weapons cluttered in small area. If by chance you get forced into it make sure too escape out of the map then report the job.

Rock star needs too add other reasons like;

Unbalanced play.

Hidden tank

KDR Killer.

Yeah, the reporting system is a little flaky. Always better to snap a picture of it (the deathmatch name and creator name if possible) and report to rockstar outside the game, at least then you know your report won't get lost into the clouds.

What some said above about people barely using the creator, half true. You can use the creator menu to pull yourself out of "online" without going to single player, allowing you access to online menu like invite only, crew session etc. Saves about 4 minutes of loading time. :p

That's the point, some of us don't want to play any UGC. Players have already proven they are stupid when it comes to creating content and with the help of R* verifying the stupidity - we are now stuck in an impasse. And something very difficult to avoid as joining quick jobs 9 times out of 10 is either a forced melee or unarmed DM.

And you can only report a job once you have played it.

Didn't know that, but it makes sense from one viewpoint, from the other, it makes no sense. Must be very hard to find an even (ish) middle ground for stuff like that. :/

I want to choose the activity I join. I want a list of hosted activities, by category (races, deathmatch etc), user created or not, rankings and different filters you can activate.

I think they need to change the inviter as well as having the filters option (which as

DaTwista said probably unlikely to happen) because I always feel like I'm ignoring

someone when I get an invite to something like a deathmatch from an in game friend

because I then have to think have they joined via Quick Job or already left because

it was the wrong job.

Inside the FIB building is an example.

So most of the time I end up ignoring job invites because 90% don't know if the

person I know is actually going to play it or not.

Some of us play GTA online and more specifically deathmatches because we enjoy them and not just for money.

Standing with a minigun in your hand blasting players that cannot get to you or defend themselves is simply a dickmove.

There should be a way to block invites altogether. Yesterday some c*nt was inviting me over and over again and the notification was popping up every 2 seconds and I was getting so pissed. I know you can disable phone notifications but I like when text messages pop up from other players.

I don't even play DM anymore because of the utterly horrible UGC. Honestly most of it is absolutely f*cking awful. I got sick of getting put into prison fights and melee weapon DMs. I mean there's a new one doing the rounds that I got invited to a few times, it's a couple of platforms (I think they were prefabs) in the sky unarmed only, if you fall off (which is inevitable) you lose a point...I mean how can people actually play that sh*t? I really can't get my head around it.

How stupid of me, I only realized now why these hidden weapon matches are being hosted so much these last two days.

It's the event weekend and you can get up to 5x on a kill regardless if it's a headshot or not. I was on an 11 kill streak and was getting I think 250RP for every kill thereafter - or 200RP (One or the other). If you're in a 10 man normal DM for say 20 minutes which most are on for, you can rack up about 20k RP in that time. That's a few level ups from one DM.

Rinse and repeat.

A lot of this same stuff happens in races too. I hardly ever play deathmatches so I can't really say anything about that, but what you guys have described also happens in a lot of custom races. A lot of custom creators go WAY too big by building numerous enormous ramps, while often less is more when it comes to these things. I think you could compare that to the Rhino/Lazer deathmatches.

And the trolling happens as well, like in the deathmatch with the one hidden minigun. There are a lot of races where newcomers are completely screwed. For instance, you go straight for a ramp only to smash right into a wall you couldn't see before taking the jump. Only the creator knows that you should actually go off-road and around the ramp instead of taking it head-on. Stuff like that. Like the deathmatch it's easy money for the creator.

What I'd like to see happen is being able to block certain jobs, be it a race, a DM or a contact mission. I don't want to play Rooftop Rumble when joining a random mission, I don't want to play $1000000 10000000 RP races that end up sucking and landing you $500. It would be cool if we were able to block these if we've played them once and don't like them.

Thanks for the feedback Davexen, it's nice to get some insight on the racing side as that is something I haven't participated in for quite some time now.

Regarding the block feature, I think the quickest and easiest solution would be is something along the lines of this:

If you like a job it is put on a preferred list.

If you dislike a job it is put on a block list (Block list only blocks jobs from quick job select but you can still do the job by manually hosting it).

This way, players will think more carefully and vote correctly rather than blindly voting dislike on good jobs because they lost in that job.

That would kill two birds with one stone!

This has become a nightmare lately.

You spend 30-45 minutes jumping up and down from the clouds, lagging out here and there, 100k Rp over and over and over.

Then you finally find a playable match and it will last for 5 minutes and everyone leaves.

The next problem is when you pick a good DM and try to host you can't fill it up. R* is busy throwing all the matchmakers into the sh*tty 100k matches.

I complain about this daily. I don't freeroam so I'm losing a ton of playing time because of this.

I agree we really need a logical solution

I really like the "block from quick match" idea. That would solve our problems over time

Edit - I seen a match last night that had me crying. It was called 17RP+100$. Lol making fun of the idiots

Players can't flat out blacklist user created content and if you want to admit it or not, there are good player created races, deathmatches, etc out there. They all would be impossible to find if you blacklist it all.

Instead, we should be able to specify our preffered rules. Usually sh*tty DMs and Races are forced unarmed/ RPG/ other ridiculous thing and Supers only.

Give us control of what types of games we join, but not bias who made it.

sorry but this idea might go wrong. How a player could get their job played by community then?Being a member of a crew doesn't mean anything more than inviting few players for one time.Since rockstar is verifying sh*tty jobs everytime, quality maps need to be played by as many people as possible.Otherwise,if you make a good map,you can play it with only 10-20 players in total(your friends and some crew members) and this means nothing for your job.Not everyone has over 100 friends who play gta 5 regularly.
