Logging on help

I keep getting the "timed out trying to join session" message everytime I try to go into a public lobby

 

I just upgraded to the new fastest Rogers internet so I'm not sure what settings I should look into to fix this as my older modem never had this problem, also I'm connected via Ethernet

 

I can get into invite only without any problems.

Is your ports open for your Console, it's always a first thing to look into.

 

Try using Google DNS. 8.8.8.8 | 8.8.4.4 also.

I figured it out, took 2 hours and I wrote and essay explaining how to fix everything but one of the mods locked the other thread before I could post the solution

 

So to anyone else having this problem, you could have had the answer but a mod decided to say f*ck you instead.
