its not part of the game and doesnt fit the theme, there is zero reason or purpose to have a chrome firetruck or taco van. its exploiting bugs in the game to do such things and frankly is probably whats causing the majority of the rampant console freezing. if you come across someone else whos game doesnt know how to handle the code since its not supposed to be there, boom, freeze. same with the tow trucks made peoples consoles freeze, unexpected things happen when you mess with the code.

And a chrome Bugatti with bright yellow/pink/green dollar wheels somehow fits the theme in what way? I can agree with everything you said, but you just had to throw that sh*t about it not fitting in there...

When i used to bring SP cars in they would only show up on my screen and if i had a friend in the lobby i would show up underneath the map on their screen when on my screen i was inside the car. It never caused any connection issues but i couldnt give people cars like i wanted to.

 

I dont get why so many people get mad over SP-MP or money glitching because it doesnt affect anybody. Its the people with godmode and special weapons that people should be outraged at. If you are trying to ruin others peoples experience you are a no life fa**ot but if you just want some cars or money I got no problem with it. GTAO is a much better experience when you got money to throw around.

 

 

Exactly, thats cause its unintended behavior and not supposed to be there so it doesnt know how to react. you cant assume that its never caused anyone to freeze, you cannot know that for a fact. maybe it does, maybe it doesnt, but its clearly causing some issues and is likely the cause for some of the freezing. It may not cause every person to freeze every time when they encounter a glitched in car but if you think its never caused a freeze perhaps when coupled with something else going on you are a fool.

 

You can do whatever you want in single player or invite only sessions but when your glitching starts affecting other random players games then you have to realize why they get mad about it. Cheating/glitching in multiplayer games no matter how benign you might think it is will always have an effect you understand.

difference being fire trucks and taco vans are not storable or modable and should never be these colors. Im not saying chrome firetrucks are causing the game to freeze, was simply using that as an example of unintended and unexpected game behavior that might cause issues.

 

Im starting to realize that most people in this thread have zero grasp of how computer programs work and what effects glitching can have on them and apparently i lack the ability to explain it in terms which they might understand.

but but i had fun with my tow truck up an hour or two before the update was released. not once did i cause consoles to freeze. heck last week i spend a good 2 hours towing peoples car from the impound and MMI, people tip me and all.

that you know of, likely you did cause someone to freeze. Not everyone will freeze every time, there are many factors that can have an effect. If they knew everything that caused it they could fix it, but they dont. For example the tow truck thing didnt cause everyone to freeze every time but it did in fact cause many to freeze.

 

its not black and white this causes that, in multiplayer games there are many things that can be different between users its virtually impossible to know what causes and effect they all have on everyone else. Maybe your tow truck only causes people who are in their apartments or are within 2 blocks of you to freeze leaving people farther away unaffected. Understand? many many factors, impossible to know them all.

What i dont get is the amount of time some people put into modding a video game when they could be living a real life instead of a virtual life. Thats the reason so many of the modders/hackers do things to f*ck with other people because they are jealous of people with social lives and try their hardest to piss them off.

typically they are 12 and have no real life to live, usually they are grounded and cant go outside away, lol!

Only glitch I did was spazzing cars with the airport gate and flipping them (not the car launch glitch). @ KingReflex Actually I'm 28. Didn't say I found it first. Just said I found that specific glitch without Youtube. They did not show how to park a plane in the gate, make the gate close through it, then punching the plane to make it blow up. That I did find. I just don't have the resources to capture game footage and post it on Youtube. If you're on Xbox I can prove it.

Seriously, leave that sh*t for private lobbies with you friends (if you have any, which I doubt seeing as you have to cheat at a simple video game) and for making YouTube videos to make yourself feel awesome, which your not.

I'm probably one of the few non-modders who doesn't really have a problem with the modding that goes on in this game, because the game itself just kind of isn't that good, and I don't feel like there is some special experience that is being ruined by people glitching SP cars into their garages, or whatever. The more malicious stuff is also kind of funny to me, but again, I don't think the core gameplay is such that a couple of modders are going to ruin something that was never respectable to begin with.

 

Overall I think R* took a poor approach to GTAO's implementation, and how it should differ from story mode gameplay. We have a lot of elements that may work in single player, but when they're hobbled together in a PVP oriented environment, they fall apart, and there should have been some better decision making there. It's why we see so many dozens of updates with each patch. The devs are still shooting in the dark trying to find what works, so we get all of these bizarre changes, which is just trial and error more than anything. But it also speaks to how little they understand how people are playing GTAO, or would like to play it.

 

So for now, the online landscape is just kind of asking to be hacked, because bottom line, it's not a very good game. Time will tell if it's better on xbone/ps4, but for now it's kind of a sh*t show, so bring on the chrome cargobobs, and let mount chilliad ufos fill my apartment. Personally, I would like to fly the ufo above fort zancudo. If someone can get me one of those, I would probably paypal you a dollar.
