House is part of EDM. So is Dubstep, DnB and others. Saying all of those represent House is just wrong. EDM does not correctly represent what House really is.

The old House is more reminiscent of Funk and Synth pop. Like Modjo - Hear Me Tonight. Which was on, ding ding ding! Non stop pop.

It's a common misconception to think that all people who like EDM are hipsters. I love EDM ever since I was a kid. I love Techno, Trance, House and other various styles of EDM. I always have and always will. Also, you should see the way I'm dressed. It doesn't look like hipster clothes. It looks like "I don't care how I dress, as long as I'm not naked or dirty".

I don't like EDM but the general rule of thumb for hipsterdom is that you're a hipster if you call other people hipsters. This is particularly true if all you know about them is their taste in music.

It's sad that anyone would think that any kind of music is hipster music. I like all types of music, but my love for music is EDM.

and that's one of the reasons why I'd say no I don't need an EDM station as it will most likely focus on the new trend as opposed to actually go into any of the actual genres that make up EDM

an EDM station will by definition be a very shallow taste of a whole host of extremely different genres
