I would say we are making some good progress, a little slower that liked but getting there all the same...

 

I accept there will be some delays on big DLC releases and I hope R* have learned from the Heist debacle and are a little more honest with its gamers in the future....

Just like every other update the main things are sh*tty as usual, its always been the little things they add that makes every update.

The only reason I feel this one was more accepted than the last few is that there was no hype. Apart from the rumors, it just appeared. So people had nothing to be let down by.

Definitely one of the best updates we've received so far. Well rounded with additions in multiple categories (weapons, cars, clothes, etc.) and the tank nerf is a freaking gift from the Sweet Baby Jesus.

And the fact that it kinda came out of nowhere was awesome too.

As far as GTAO updates go, this one by far has had the most threads created about it. I'd call that a success.

 

OT I like it. The clothes are decent (other than the fugly skinny trousers). I like the knife too. Most satisfying.

 

Also, I have a Love Fist t-shirt. What's not to like?

A good update if the content type appeals to you. I have no real use for anything but the Dubsta and Surrender action. Might buy the Panto for amusement when I go back to a 10 car Garage.

 

Most of the content really provides no long term entertainment value as whatever clothing etc is released with the next update will become the in thing.

I like it. Annoyed that we still keep getting these silly ass toys like the "vintage pistol" and the "sns pistol" instead of some real weapons smh... (Knife is cool tho.)

 

Other than that, it was good. Didn't care for owning any of the vintage cars, but I can appreciate them offering some variety. Out of all of the DLC, I'd rank it like this:

I love it (not as much as the Valentine Massacre). New clothes, gang attacks, player actions and a new survival. I really shouldn't have anything to complain about, BUT something inside of me is not allowing me to fully enjoy this new update. Naturally, I want to tell you all about it...

 

 

 

• Why the heck are we shooting cops in the Legion Square survival? Why wasn't it placed in Mirror Park with hordes of 'hipsters' hopped up on Cool Beans rushing at us while riding Faggios? It feels like an afterthought. They should of saved Legion Square for alien survival.
• I don't know about anyone else, but I filled up my two garages within a week of the last update. I actually sold my Jester,Adder and Buccaneer to get the Blade, Glendale, and Rhapsody. This is really on me, I guess, but I love to collect vehicles. I need a garage for collectibles/dust collectors.
• What is so hard about creating fun missions that pay out at least $10,000? We didn't get any chase the hipster, kidnap the hipster, protect the hipster missions?!
• Amazing lavender leather jacket, but no amazing matching lavender leather skirt or leggings? I admit this: I'm a woman and I will never be satisfied with clothing arsenal. I will always want more!
• I can't actually see the Pure Gold paint. No matter how hard I try to see it, I only see chrome.

 

 

I consider Rockstar developers a master race,( What happened to Alexander Roger? ), so I've come to expect nothing less than the very best from them. I also admit that I am a ungrateful, spoiled b*tch at times, but there's something missing. I had so much fun the day I did that FOS V3, I had at least 10 of my friends with me, which was unheard of up until then. I think this is what the online portion is missing: missions where we can play with more than 3 friends together as a team.

 

Afterthought: the greedy RP and $ huntress in me is totes pissed that the event's RP & $ specials are only on the 3 gang attacks and deathmatches. If they intend on keeping the max rank at 8000, then they need to stop being stingy with the RP.

At this point, it's completely unreasonable. Sure, I was irritated too, but mostly due to Rockstar's lack of any communication on the issue. But, now it's been addressed and we're still getting FREE new content every month, so I'd say it's time to shut up about the heists. It happens if and when it happens. Until then, you can play Payday and it's sequel and spare the rest of us of your tired ass complaining.

I agree. The fact that they made the double RP and money for the gang attacks and deathmatches is absolutely ridiculous. I'm not going to be one of those whiny little children and complain "They took my Coveted away! NOOO" but seriously. Nerfing Coveted is completely unnecessary. How do we get our money? RR, again. I personally enjoyed Coveted more than RR, but it looks like RR is my only option now.

 

Also, I would in fact enjoy an alien survival. It would be a change of pace from the usual gang shootouts we normally see.

It's been adressed? Where and when? Because as far as I know Rockstar dropped this update out of the blue without any mention of the thing that was actually supposed to come out. I think this game is in desperate need of some new playable content. New clothes and cars are always nice of course, but every job in this game still pays sh*t, everything is overpriced and there isn't anything new to do.

 

Yesterday I tried levelling up my second character and making a little money by joining contact missions from the quick jobs menu. Between connection issues, sh*t paying jobs and retards failing missions, I made a whopping 40k in about 3 hours and went up one level, from 14 to 15. This game doesn't need more clothing reskins, cars and pistols. It needs heists or new decent paying contact missions.

I bought all the cars but I realised I don't really like some, so I decided to sell them.

I even tested them all on story mode before. What can I say... It's like those DLCs are a trap.

They've pretty much messed up my mission experience by 95%. It's the crazy initial mission spawn (if it would spawn everyone near their PV's, I'd have no problem) and the payouts are insanely unbalanced.

 

I've noticed that on this particular GTA they keep missing the mark on some rather obvious things. I don't want to turn this into a b*tch and moan fest, because GTA V is still the best video game ever (until GTA VI), but they do things like give us Pegasus Vehicles we have to pay for, but these vehicles do not have the same attributes as our PV's. For instance, I worked my butt off for the $1.7 mil to get the Buzzard, I feel that when I take it out, it should act like my PV. I 2-page long lists of these types of contradictions(?), maybe I'll share some of it in the B&M thread.

If you'd check out Rockstar's website and the multiple links in these forums leading to them or even typed "GTA ONLINE HEISTS" into Google, you'd have seen that R* announced that Heists are delayed because they don't want to push out an incomplete update because people like you have balanced this entire game on the Heist Update. God forbid they take extra time to make the Update worthwhile and playable on a 9 year old system who's limits have been pushed to the brink with this game.

And, nearly every single DLC release has contained new missions/races/deathmatches/etc, so now you are not only bitching like a child about having to be patient, but you're also talking out of your ass. Educate yourself and read up on the topic rather than simply whining for the sake of whining. Like I said before, if you bought this game strictly because of the heists you bought the wrong game. Payday 2 is an MMO that gives you all the heist action you want. Play that sh*t until the heist update drops if you're so worked up about robbing banks. I'm so sick of seeing the "GTAO is boring and there's nothing to do" statements because GTAO has obviously given you plenty to do, which is coming to these forums and crying on a regular basis. Lol, but we DID get those missions.

 

Was just playin "chase the hipster" last night. me and 8 of my crew members were chasing this "hipster guy" who thought he was being sneaky with the RPGs and tryna blow up our pantos. made his day didn't we.

 

Played "kidnap the hipster" with that same guy and held him hostage in passive mode on the hills and mountains by the beltway while talking about vinyl records and old bicycles. But the fun doesn't stop there.

 

After crew activities ended and we dispersed, I played "protect the hipster" by being the getaway driver for my plaid-shirt-skinny-jean-with-a-scarf-wearin friend. Very post ironic.
