Just now I attempted to log in and I get the "Rockstar Game Services are unavailable" message. I thought this was funny because people on my friends list were online, so I checked out Social Club and my character is gone.

 

I'm gonna flip out! What's going on? Somebody help!

And about your character missing issue...R* is resetting everybody's account and heist will unlock at lvl7999.

I had the same message pop up an hour ago while my friends had no issues. I logged back into Online a few minutes ago and the problem fixed itself. Just get off for a bit and try again later.

Calm down, OP. Don't flip out and lose you sh*t. It's just temporary. You'll be back online soon enough.

I haven't been able to get past a loading screen of death since this hiptser update. So yeah, I'm not too surprised I'm not the only one getting issues. I'd be perfectly happy if the next update includes nothing but fixes to thing that actually need to be fixed.

You're not going to loose anything.

 

This happens to everybody from time to time, Just exit out of the whole game and try again in 5 minutes and you should be able to get back on.

 

If you have a second character try and get online with that one, always works for me and then i just swap characters when i get online
