Why the hell do the Jets have explosive rounds? That was seriously the most stupidest decision ever

"Ya guyz lets totally make the fastest, easy to control jet op as Fu- and leave the annhilator a total peice of sh*t."

The jet should have normal rounds like the buzzard, and the annhilator should have explosive rounds AND BE FASTER THAN THE BUZZARD.

Also side note, REMOVE TURBULENCE ON THE HELI'S!

 

How the f*ck can the "Annihilator." be faster than the Buzzard, when the Buzzard is smaller,Ligther and has 5 blades. Not to mention it doesn't have 4 1 ton miniguns weighting it down.

Nooo, the f*cking jet in On Manuevers is overpowered. The thing flew right past me and did a quick gun burst FROM ITS ASS. It's like it shot its guns from its engine, and it killed me in a millisecond.

 

But anyway, leave the jet as it is. Others have said it, but most people can't fly for sh*t. Join an air race or even a jet deathmatch with randoms and you'll see a number of them either crash or get dominated by that one badass in the lobby.

 

I've played Ace Combat almost my entire childhood, so flying a jet in this game is almost second nature to me, although I still can't get tunnel-flying down.

 

I want to find other pilots on the Xbox, but they're pretty rare

I don't embrace the idea of shooting down unarmed planes. I may not have a lot of moral character flying the lazer and all but for some reason I don't like seeing that take place either.

i only shoot down unarmed aircraft if they make clear attempts to crash into me or they've declared hostile intentions previously.

 

shooting an unarmed pilot is too easy

 

i have way more fun staying close to them just to see how they react.

 

why would i kill someone if i can watch them panic fly until they crash on their own.

 

smart people will understand if i'm in range and they're not dead yet, maybe i'm not trying to.

 

i protect people as often as i kill people

 

it's a game at the end of the day, i'll play it in every way possible.

You need to have skill to use the jet effectively, so no, I don't see why the cannon's need to be nerfed. Don't drive in a straight line and even a skilled jet pilot won't be able to kill you.

Don't nerf the cannon! I don't use jets myself but am not afraid of a little action here and there. Breaking into a fort to steal a non-special jet would be pointless. A tank is more OP and is easier to get and just as easy to replace when destroyed. Before the jet gets nerfed the tank should be completely removed.

Dude, why does it bother you ? If someone is spawn killing you with a jet (Very rare) use passive mode, don't stand there waiting to be killed.

The annihilator does suck, but anyway not a lot of people knws how to use a jet.

No! We need more powerful aircraft in GTA! Not less! If there is a jet griefer in your session simply join a new one, or enable passive mode.

Jets are ok imo, simply because most people will crash in a few minutes tops.

 

However if you are against a good pilot it can be a nightmare, bad sport is full of good pilots actually most people in it seem to be avid jet users.

I was harassed by a great pilot he had a 14 K/D, he killed me once off the radar then I shot him down and got a jet myself, 11 killstreak on him before i got bored and left - moral of the story doesn't matter how good you are if your against a good jet pilot you're screwed, they're either going to force you to stay in a building or remain on foot in passive mode or you'll die constantly.

Jets are absolutely perfect the way the are. Instead of being a little cry baby you can use one of the many counters for the jet including:

• Passive Mode
• .50 Cal
• Heavy MG
• Going Inside
• Going Underground
• And much more if you can be creative rather than cry about it.

Well over majority of the time, jet pilots hit the ground within five minutes and if not, a good pilot deserves to get a few kills especially when it is pretty damn easy to avoid a jet if you know what you're doing.

 

Jets don't need to be nerfed.

Oh heell. You are wrong. I got owned by tonksi himself in a public lobby on my spare ps3. Totally ripped to shreds under a bridge to add that. They'll be an issue if they're good.

But every one I've seen on xbox is so crap that they can actually crash in the middle of a desert of all places.

If you position yourself in a way that the jet can`t hit you they simply can`t hit you. But,,, you can easily snipe them. Thats just how it is.

 

Now i use Turtle Beaches.. I can hear a jet comming from half way across the map. So i know where they are.

 

Sometimes a jet might get a lucky cheap shot in, but thats only because i assumed they would not attack. Buut thats about it, i`ve never been killed when hunting down Jets on foot. Never...

Im a driver pal.. Im the most dangerous when in my car and in the city.. And jets don't f*ckin matter to me. I can go from garage to garage to under pass to garage and you won't do jack sh*t buy fly by trying to figure out where I am.

That's NOT the point, jets should be used for aerial combat only. The attack helicopters are the ones that should be killing the ground combat, not Lazers.

 

Your argument is counter-intuitive.

Jet fighters have always used explosive rounds, propeller fighter craft in World War II used explosive rounds. The purpose of that ammunition is to rip apart other aircraft and soft ground targets like cars, trucks, jeeps etc. So yes the point of jets is for aerial combat thus they are equipped with explosive ammunition.

 

HOWEVER that being said the explosive rounds should be ineffective against tanks because that type of ammunition was designed to rip apart other aircraft and soft ground targets.(which is everything in the game aside from tanks).
