How about a pilot in real life? I have a valid private light fixed wing license for 6 more months before renewal and refresher classes. Would I be qualified to be called a GTA pilot or

just a pilot playing GTA? Suck at the helis. Held my own in IV though.

 

Ahhh, the dream... One day when I eventually enough money I want to work towards a real pilot license.

 

But thats on a tangent, keeping it within the parameters of a game, if you only fly the jet & have no skills in the helis then you are straight up noob. Because the Jet is easy & OP.

& glad to see Tonksi is still showing what the top tier guys can do, we beat him down when he came to us on PS3 on IV all those years ago, but hes a good dude. Wish he had not put out those tutorials for all the noobs though!

 

Everytime I see a pilot with their wheels down to get a kill I just laugh because I know they have watched Tonks vids haha, And yup kills under bridges are not uncommon. I managed to get kills in that hidden cove where the Coveted mission is. Hovered & got the kills on the inside wall, it was great, until one of them turned out to be a modder....

If you position yourself in a way that the jet can`t hit you they simply can`t hit you. But,,, you can easily snipe them. Thats just how it is.

 

Now i use Turtle Beaches.. I can hear a jet comming from half way across the map. So i know where they are.

 

Sometimes a jet might get a lucky cheap shot in, but thats only because i assumed they would not attack. Buut thats about it, i`ve never been killed when hunting down Jets on foot. Never...

The top tier pilots can get a kill almost anywhere, inbetween buildings, under bridges, in tunnes, through vents, hell those are just some of the places I have had kills.

 

A sniper will not do anything If the pilot is focused on you, they will get 4, 5, 6 kills, then retreat to switch jets or repair if you have got damage on the jet, & then come back off radar & use muggers and mercs as distractions for those hard to reach places.

 

Most of the very top tier pilots are top tier players in general & know how to adapt in GTA and know how to use all the tricks. if you think jets are fine, you clearly have not encountered a pro.

Im a driver pal.. Im the most dangerous when in my car and in the city.. And jets don't f*ckin matter to me. I can go from garage to garage to under pass to garage and you won't do jack sh*t buy fly by trying to figure out where I am.

 

 

 

 

Its funny.. you keep acting like i should care. But after leveling 2 characters over well 200 and playing GTA non stop since release i've never had any real issues with pilots. I just don't care because they don't matter.

IMO, it would make dogfights waaay much more fun instead of "Lolol i shot u once now ur ded" explosive rounds. It's honestly not that hard to use the cannons for a nooby player, as the blasts will do all the work for you.

I played since day 1 and never was interested in a jet.

 

Since I'm rank 170 with everything I need an over 11k player kills I decided it was time to learn the skills of one. After putting in few hours on daily bases I started to understand how to defend my self against one also.

 

Now I can safely manage to fly around and rack up about 20 kills before I need to go get a new jet. My favorite has to be blowing up the tanks with a burst of a few well placed shots .

 

In my opinion I'd leave the jets the way they are

Exactly, it's not easy but ground targets make it easy, everyone hauls ass and follows roads, that's making the pilot's job easier.

 

i actually smile when one out of a thousand players knows it's best to swerve a lot, change directions frequently and be less predictable by not following roads all the time.

 

i honor those players by not shooting them with the cannons, i try to kamikaze into them instead.

Im a driver pal.. Im the most dangerous when in my car and in the city.. And jets don't f*ckin matter to me. I can go from garage to garage to under pass to garage and you won't do jack sh*t buy fly by trying to figure out where I am.

 

 

 

 

Its funny.. you keep acting like i should care. But after leveling 2 characters over well 200 and playing GTA non stop since release i've never had any real issues with pilots. I just don't care because they don't matter.

As for jets, if they're sole focus is on me and I'm caught by surprise in the open....yea its a problem, but if I'm with friends/crew then the pilot is the one that should be cautious.

 

And [email protected] the under the map buzzard kill. I guess that's one of the few ways you can even get a kill with a buzzard.(talk about bullet fodder)

Why the hell do the Jets have explosive rounds? That was seriously the most stupidest decision ever

The jet should have normal rounds like the buzzard, and the annhilator should have explosive rounds AND BE FASTER THAN THE BUZZARD.

 

Also side note, REMOVE TURBULENCE ON THE HELI'S!

 

How the f*ck can the "Annihilator." be faster than the Buzzard, when the Buzzard is smaller,Ligther and has 5 blades. Not to mention it doesn't have 4 1 ton miniguns weighting it down.

Yeah but more jets, and different jets would lead to dogfights in GTA. Which would be cool. As soon as they make jets buyable that is.
