Theories on how Heists will play out.

We've all heard it before, Rockstar give us this, Rockstar give us that, Rockstar give us HEISTS! But has anyone ever thought about how they would play out? I have. There are tons of theories on the internet on what they think will happen, but what's your theory?

I think they will play out like existing missions, with a useless planning phase on the side.

Release wise:

- realsed for 24 hours, find a problem and remove

- week later it's back

- next month a few bugs patched

Game wise:

- each character has a "stat" bar for their task - more you do it, higher the bar, must be some bonus for it

- each heist needs x shooters, x drivers etc

- choose location (probably a bunch of them preset)

- invite people to join, I'm not sure how this would work, ideally you'd want to be able to pick from a bunch

- prep - someone gets the car, finds a location, planning etc

- carry out like a mission

Rumor has it they might be giving us voices, so maybe even some cutscenes?

This how it'll play out:

Go to place.

Kill everyone.

Collect package.

Get in car.

Drive to place to end mission.

Mission end.

Recived:$20,000 RP:3000

Repeat.

I'm not too sure about that. Heists have been delayed for quite some time, so I personally think it'll probably be hard as sh*t, forcing you to work with a team, and maybe with the obviousness of other heists, it might give you the ability to choose different approaches like in SP, and I hope you can do a heist only once. And the harder the heist, the bigger the payout.

IF they ever happen here is how I'm convinced it will go down:

Complete heist get 50,000, complete heist again get 5,000. R* then changes the payout to 1,000 and makes it longer.

You guys got it all wrong.

1. Invite people and launch.

2. "We're sorry this session has been delayed. Try again when GTA 7 comes out."

If you want to know how heists will be, go check out any of the Achievement Hunter heists. I have no doubt heists will be massive clusterf*cks.

Let me put my theory while also seeing from Rockstar business perspective.

Heist = Huge payout

Huge payout = Favorite mission

Huge payout = Favorite mission = Kill Cash Card

Cash Card = Low payout = Less favorite mission = Kill Heist

So, to take the middle point, my theory on Heist would be:

- Every account will have Heist timer. Before the timer runs out, the person won't be able to join Heist.

- Heist appear as a Mission, instead of like robbing liquor store

- Mission corona will be in preparation room in Apartment

- Starting Heist cost $2000 for bullsh*t reason

- Choose which bank or storage to do Heist

- Set roles

- Off to the area

- Steal the thing

- Fight off the god-like ninja cops

- Bring to Lester

- Get 20k as gross salary. 18k as nett salary

- 1 real life day lock timer starts

Or....

- No timer. Unlimited Heist can be performed

- Heist appear as a Mission, instead of like robbing liquor store

- Mission corona will be in preparation room in Apartment

- Starting Heist cost $5000 for bullsh*t reason

- Choose which bank or storage to do Heist

- Set roles

- Off to the area

- Steal the thing

- Fight off the mega super ultra god-like ninja cops

- Bring to Lester

- Get $8000 as gross salary. $3000 as nett salary.

Again, I use Rockstar's glasses to make these theories. That's why I use Cash Card as the 'anchor point' in setting things. The result is as sh*t and imbalance as what you've been seeing in Online since October.

If Rockstar really design it like or closely to one of my theories, I'll just play Heist for once and bye bye.

step one: find money glitch

step two: do money glitch

step three: repeat

heist complete

Heists will not be repeatable. They will pay a lot and will take some time to complete but you wont be able to go through the menu to do it again. That is how they will limit the impact of heist payout on the economy. That or they will release a bunch of DLC stuff that costs tens of millions of dollars.

I think they have a formula based around average time to complete and maximum cash per minute.

So we may find heists are not much more profitable PER MINUTE than Potshot, Coveted, RR etc

But I'm still keen as hell because it'll hopefully mean less load screens and possibly stat progression (really hoping for stat progression).

Heists have been in progress since gta online started seriously working :/

Their called "shark cards" and they're in the gamestore

Simply purchace any one of these "shark cards" (heist-completed)

~~ remember . . . you're not supposed to MAKE money . . . only Take2 & R* ~~

look , it's easy

~ get AK/m4 , gather your team to near bank ( while sniper perched nearby building , heliteams prepare at helipad & distractor standby near shootout )

~ burst the door open and wave the gun around people inside . if they try to be hero , a trigger to heart solve the problem

~ gunmen watches hostage , driver wait outside , sniper perched to building , distractor ready , heliteams ready to help , hacker hack the security cameras , cracker break to the bank vault & boss help the cracker

~ once police surround the bank , snipers & heliteams engage them

~ after taking the money , distractor attract the police attention by luring them away from the crew ( while heliteams cover the crew but sniper good to go )

~ crew enter the van once reach large area and airlifted by heliteams

~ heliteams land the van to sandy shores airfield and the team must assemble as lester will decide the cut

Commander S

Ideally, they'll be like one long mission, broken up into several 'phases' linked with cutscenes (which'd be cool), consisting of a planning phase (put to a vote?), then sub-missions where players have to split up and grab whatever vehicles/equipment they need and return to the designated safehouse, then finally the big score itself.

Go to liquor store, point gun at clerk, take money, lose cops. What're you guys going on about?

I'd love them to be like some of the posters here described, but i find it hard to believe it would be anything but a normal mission, as, if it played out like in SP, all the heisters would have to be online at the same time to pull it off - with GTA mentality, this seems HIGHLY unlikely?

I think at this point it will not matter how they play out, they have been way over hyped and expectations are to high. Should they actually ever make it out of the realm of "we're working on it" to live versions of the game, they will disappoint nearly everyone that is still waiting for them. If you're in the market for Forum Tears, Heist release day will be a proverbial gold mine. I gave up months ago on heists living up to expectations. When(*if) they are released I might enjoy them but I am not expecting anything spectacular at this point. We're nearing the 1 year since release mark and all R* has done in that year is redefine what the word "Soon" means.
