Sniper scope range is PATHETIC

It's not the scopes, though i wish they did zoom further. It's a matter of render distance. It's annoying but it's not gonna change on last gen consoles.

What I don't get is that your vision in the scope still renders more when you zoom in, so why can't it jsut render a little further?

 

I've noticed on Coveted you can see the blast from someones rifle but not the actual person themselves, if you aim just right you can still kill them despite being able to actually see them.

There is a tower with a clock on it that allows you to climb up the sides via ladder and up through the clock tower until you are up top. It isn't too high but not too low either. Or try any building at an X intersection so you have long roads to shoot along, count streets and start guessing.

I love the sniper rifles, they can also double up as a scope for the RPG too. Zoom in, change weapon. Target blown to sh*t.

sh*tty rendering distance, doesnt seem to be the same for everyone either cause ive been sniped in one shot by people who arent rendered on my screen, which is BS! I know you can find them if they fire cause you will see the muzzle flash, but the fact they are hitting me first shot when im not giving them a muzzle flash to zero in on my with tells me they see me when i cant see them, wtf chuck, any other snipers noticing this sh*t?

Get your skill level up.I shoot at the target with the crosshair on the target and the bullet does not reach far enough even though it would in real life. Get your using your brain skill level up. Edited June 21, 2014 by Zee

The sniper is still useable though.Just look at the movement of the vehicles,you may get a kill.Although things from a far didn't render,cars and pvs(especially pv) will render and the bullet will certainly hit your target.

 

fantastic, I'll be sure and remind the entire session that they need to get into a car so I have a chance of knowing where they are.
