Is there a way to prevent Buzzard passengers controlling the rockets?

I like to take other players on board my buzzard on missions. Almost every time I do it though, they will start controlling the rockets. This is annoying since it's a lot easier to clear a bunch of enemies on ground with the auto lock on system.

I was wondering if there is a way to block passengers from using the rockets?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. Only the shotgun passenger has the rockets, so if the passenger is in back then you have contol. Other than making everyone sit in back then you can't really take control of the rockets (it can glitch between you and the passenger if you keep pressing x (ps3)). If you are going to have a passenger, make sure they know they have control or the rockets and don't act the halfwit while you vaguely position the buzzard for them.

I fly my buzzard a lot and the first thing I do with it when I get it is attach a sticky bomb. I do this out of habit, since early on people would steal it while I was robbing stores or otherwise busy.

On more than one occasion lately, I have taken passengers who wouldn't lay off the rockets even after I told them to stop.

So, I exit stage left and detonate sticky bomb. Sure it costs a little money but I like to think its worth it.

Most annoying feature in game especially when passenger has no mic.....

i have been known to bail out just before my pride and joy slams into a building, satisfying to see my co-pilot engulfed in flames....

No touchy ffs lol

The sticky bomb idea I like. Normally I do the bail out thing since they never seem to notice the pilot is gone when in camera mode. That causes a nice fiery death. It would be nice if you could just hold the switch button down while the other player is operating the camera and thus gain control while locking the other guys access. Well maybe they'll patch it sometime in the future.

Probably the easiest way is only fly it solo or only have trusted friends (with a mic) who know the score fly as passengers.

I only fly with friends and they know to sit in the back. (This can take a bit of musical chairs and only 2 passengers, but works for us). If I'm flying the buzzard, I operate the rockets, end of.

If I'm doing a store robbery or helping someone do this, then I just use a frogger or maverick I find. No quibbles then.

Wish there were a straight forward option to switch it off. The only thing you can do is to set vehicle access to none so they can get into the back only. But you need to set this well in advance (before you get in) or it wont work. Totally dumb sh*t. If YOU are the pilot of that damn bird you should be able to controll everything with a click of a button.

Does this work with pegasus vehicles?

I didn't know that - gotta test this the next time I play. Thanks.

Sure it does, using buzzard since last November. Give it a go.
