Way ahead of you on that. I only try to pick this game up with each update. Each one continues to disappoint me. A hipster update? WOW R*, U SO CLEVER. LOLZ HIPSTERS.

 

Next up: The meme update. U mad bro guns, and troll t-shirts. R* sure is hip!

 

To get to the point: I'm tired of boring updates. In the damn preview video for GTA:O and what was to come, you mentioned the environment will constantly change! Then again, you also promised heists to come out and that's probably never happening.

 

Where's the environment changes? Well? How about that casino, R*? How about some things at the beach? Some games to even play at the beach, SOMETHING. How about a gym filled of minigames? How ABOUT JUST SOMETHING NEW?! A place to park cars at and the mini game is to judge them. ANYTHING.

 

I'd much, MUCH rather have you wait two months for an update that is actually meaningful then this sh*t. These new cars are ass. That new whatever you brought in that's rank 100? That doesn't change my desire to want to get there any faster. In fact, I still don't care about my rank funny enough.

 

Hell, some updates to the OCEAN. Some updates in the mountains, anything. A new building. SOMETHING. Maybe to some people, they're content with a knife [Yeah, that's always nice. Sure it looks cool, but go ahead and walk that baby up to someone with a shotgun. Melee weapons and sneaking are kinda redundant when there's a f*cking mini-map.] and a little pea shooter that does literally nothing more than any other pistol in the game. Maybe some people are good with ridiculous skinny jeans, and "hipster" tees that you might as well get Hot Topic to sponsor you with. I'm not. I like game expanding updates.

 

This topic is just like, to see if anyone feels how I do at this point. I hate to say it, but GTA:O may have to be the biggest let down I've ever played and I really hate the fact it may be up there for me. Also, kudos on that "maniac meter" or whatever the hell you call it. I haven't played the game for like, a week and somehow mine is still up. After when all I've done was kill people who were trying to kill me. Great mechanic R*, broken like half your damn game is.

I'm a hot-rod guy. I'm a Roosevelt guy. I got the cars I want. All the ones I need. I don't need any more cars, because I'm simply not a guy who cares about them.

Before you say I'm not supporting the game, I wouldn't be here. Not like anyone who makes these threads hate the game. They wouldn't waste their time talking about it. I'm a guy, who would play this game more and enjoy it more if we had more to do. That's all.

 

Where's the issue? And I'd gladly mention positive things if... things were positive.

 

There's probably a very good reason that some people aren't grasping if there's more negative threads than positive threads.

This is all I'm trying to say. No, to the one. Not "SUPER FAST CARS". I'd be fine with those updates if we had at least one or two meaningful updates in between.

 

God, maybe even if the map was actually smaller. We all have that space, and not anything to do in it. There's still no point in the ocean. Would love to see an Aquatic Life update with a new place to explore, sharks, or something.

 

We have a submarine in the game, which is cool.... but.. the f*ck is the point? GO EXPLORE... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! YAAAAY.

I agree, this update was just as sh*tty as the last few. If they would add new features to the game that would be great, adding more stupid items/weapons/clothing/cars to the game is pointless. All you do is buy the new crap and then get bored with it 10 minutes later.

Does GTA online lack something? Yes lots of things actually

 

Were we promised more upon the release of GTAO back in October or whatever. Yes, we were

 

 

Do I still play occasionally? Yes, driving around and getting into gun fights in the city and what not has it's kicks.

 

Ultimately, this game does lack substance. We were made to believe it was going to be a superior game to basically any other R* had made.

 

Was this the case? Yes and no. Game has potential, but current gem consoles do limit what we can get and how "good" it can be

 

 

Were we as consumers duped into buying essentially a beta in order to have R* rack in massive profits, yes possibly. But could it also possibly be that R* had full intentions of building this game for the next gen, rushed out a current gen version in order to find future operations, yes I feel this is possible and mainly the reason for the game being where it is now.

 

 

Could they have added all the goodies on day one? Ya probably. But then what? We as users find all the bugs and issues, R* has to fix them, and because we had access to everything, then everything has to get fixed. This slow introduction gives them time to work out old bugs from prior updates, and gives time to prevent future bugs

 

 

 

All in all, it'll stay essentially half a game, but even being half a game, it still has some form of entertainment value. Especially when NHL 14, NBA2k14, and forza 4 (the alternate games I find myself playing) have all gotten slightly stale. The good ol terror spree one can do certainly breaks the monotony of the other games

Well, that's a shame. So far? It seems all the people who do have made the most meaningful and most intelligent and mature posts here.

 

See it like this. The people who do agree? Have stated their opinions a lot more maturely and nicely.

 

I think I'd rather side with the "bitches" than the people bitching about the bitches. And again, you don't know that. Evidently, what you're all saying is there's much more complaining than positivty? How does that make me the minority again? Meanwhile, there's a wonderful post saying what I've been saying about how this game has their goods and bads. But... how it is starting to have a lot more negatives than positives. It's exactly what I'm trying to say.

You, like many, are somewhat disappointed.

 

New features would be great, but realistically, we're not going to get 'em, methinks. I look back at GTA IV, and I remember when playing it for the first time, I was enthralled.

 

Now, when I boot it up when I'm feeling nostalgiac, I realize just how incomplete the game really was. Compared to GTA V, it's like a beta. Many of the current iteration's features (like car customization) should've been realized in GTA IV, but it was still too early conceptually, perhaps. (Though, it was in GTA San Andreas, wasn't it?) I don't think I ever used a Pay 'n' Spray in IV outside of any instance that was mission related.

 

I don't know. It just seems that many of the ideas were finally realized in V, and in future DLC or maybe until VI, we won't get some of the features that could make the game better than it already is.
