Heists Officially delayed - Again

This game has been delayed for months back before release, and even with 8 more months of time to work on it.. they simply can't.

Bravo, best company in history.

And yet they dare to advertise it... I'd be ashamed if I were them.

But, is there anyone think through another hole?

What if this is actually their plan? They want heist hype always up while dragging the time.

We all know this work isn't 'today do - tomorrow finish' type. Heist has been worked longer than 8 months. It'd be a dumb move if Rockstar advetise the feature while they were still in 5% progress, although it's not impossible for Rockstar to do that since they could render a simulated heist a.k.a fake heist for the trailer. Meanwhile, the contents we've been getting have completely done and waiting for the release schedule. I can see that updates are important to them because they have to throw bone to hungry dogs (us) and drag the online life time while pretending to work on heist and get money from cashcards.

Since when does this f*cking company release stuff on schedule lol they need to fix this f*cking game it is broken to f*ck, there is so many things wrong with it, if i was to write a list it would take the whole f*cking page up smh. Im gonna wait on PS4 release and stop playing this piece of sh*te.

So, you're gonna wait until this "broken to f*ck" game is released on PS4, so you can "stop playing this piece of sh*te."

As far as I know, the same company that released this "broken to f*ck" game is releasing it on PS4... Who's to say that the PS4 version won't be "broken to f*ck" too...?

So ... Heists are coming in September, then?

Honestly, though, I'm not really cut up about this. Okay, so the 'I'm Not A Hipster' DLC now seems more like an apology than anything else, but at least they threw a sweetener in there, rather than just dropping the whole 'looks like heists won't be here for a while, sorry' and nothing else.

Okay, I'll stop sucking dick and get out, now.

I have no experience playing EA games with online capabilities (partly because I only got broadband last year), but I hear they're real pricks with delays and DLC for things that should be in the game for free. Seeing as most (not me) are desperate for heists, and are comparing R*'s procrastination to EA, R* should change their logo for all the arse-hurt fans out there:-

R*EA

Kiss their rear hard enough and they may give you what you want heist-thread creators :p

What's f*cking gold about this is that those heists have probably been stored on a hard drive for months. They just don't want to release them because you'll just buy everything you want with the money from heists. They'll either be highly underpaid or will be released when GTAO isn't such a large revenue source. f*cking lol

Yeah, that's definitely it. You cracked the code.

Then you tell me why they would release something that interferes with their income. They are going to be overhyped and underpaid or...well that's it.

Using this logic, why do Rooftop Rumble and Coveted still pay out $18k+? Also, why did R* put it them on the contact menu, allowing players to play them as much as they wanted? Especially Rooftop, which isn't supposed to have the payout that it does, to begin with?

If I were to bet, I'd say that cash cards have zero impact on what does or doesn't get released... If they did, cash cards would have been available from day one and the only way you'd be getting to play contact missions (especially the higher paying ones) would be when they are sent to you over the phone, which would probably be toned down significantly as well.

If I could figure out how to embed the damn thing :/

At any rate, from the trailer: "Or band together and form a crew. Then tackle a heist..."

Well, technically, you can tackle A heist... "El Burro Heists" has been in the game since launch.

-Bill

This is exactly what I was thinking a long time ago. I'm 50% sure R* had a wording slip up which caused everyone to expect bank heists. Instead of the heists already in the game.

could get even more technical: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/heist

heist [hahyst] Show IPA Slang.

noun

1. a robbery or holdup: Four men were involved in the armored car heist.

verb (used with object)

2. to take unlawfully, especially in a robbery or holdup; steal: to heist a million dollars' worth of jewels.

3. to rob or hold up.

All three definitions of "heist" are already in the game... It's just another word for "robbery."

The only thing that makes sense to me is they are trying to make heists a one time shot. Like 80k for one but you can only do it once. Cant be invited to the same one later. The stupid thing is, the longer they wait/ fail to release heists, the more people buy up everything available anyway. If heist are supposed to pay so much, what will be the point a month from now when no one needs the money anyway. The only other idea is that there is a lot coming with heists, like a lot of new stuff to buy. To encourage people to play.

I gave up on this a long time ago.

Now I just lol. Plenty of other games in the meantime.

Also all you R* dick riders need to stop blindly defending them. Personally, I do not care, they can take all the time in the world to release heists but it's ridiculous that they can't get anything out on time. Not even a DLC that they have been talking about and advertising since before the game itself came out. They are a terribly mismanaged company and not being able to release games on time is a testament to that but...they make great games.

They talked about heists in the PREVIEWS of GTA: O they gave to the press BEFORE the game's release. They told us about heists BEFORE release, that they were coming a few weeks after GTA: O's release. Then it changed. Then it changed again. Then it became Spring. Now it's delayed. There's a planning wall in the high-end apartments for...HEISTS. They told us it was for heists. HURRR.

Some of you are just delusional in your attempts to attack anyone who doesn't ride R*'s dick along with you.

Stay calm and wait on. I am just waiting for V on next-gen now and a ton of other games.

Miss Malevolent

And really though, how long does it take to change the color palette of a few cloths and the body structure of a few cars to create new ones? Not that long. It's not like the Hipster update was hard or particularly time consuming for Rockstar to do.

It's amazing how many game developers there are on this forum, letting us know how easy it is to code something.

And you obviously didn't read their patch notes if you're saying all they did was re-skin some cars and clothes.

Who seriously bought this game just for single player though?

Me. Never played any Rockstar game online until this one. Now I can't bring myself to play the single player.

So what's with the big blank planning wall in your apartment?

What's with the new apartment layout having a door that can't be opened?

What's with the apartments having toilets that can't be used?

What's with having a table that you can't sit at?

Just because a blank wall is in an apartment, doesn't mean that it HAS to be used for something.

I know that's the common speculation, that you need an apartment with a 10 car garage to "have a heist room," but has R* ever actually said this? Or, is it something that someone simply assumed, put it on a message board or Youtube...?

As far as R* is concerned, this is all I've read about it: http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51422/some-more-details-on-grand-theft-auto-online.html

Heists: This update will introduce full-on cooperative Heist missions that will require careful planning, teamwork and sharp execution – along with the Heist Planning Board for your apartment.

That says zero, zilch, nada about not being able to use apartments without 10 car garages.

Here's a picture of a low end apartment: 0_0.jpg

Who's to say a "planning board" couldn't be put right above that table? Who's to say the board can't simply be on an easel that appears in your living room, while planning heists?

Just another case of people jumping to conclusions about what they THINK was said, instead of what was ACTUALLY said.

JOEsAGGRESSIVE

seems to me what they're"focused" on is the next gen release of GTA V.(not that there is anything wrong with that) I just wish rockstar was more forthcoming about it instead of shuffling their feet and making excuses like some kid who got their hand caught in the cookie jar. BUT hopefully this means that heists won't be just an extra long mission that it will be fun to play and worth the wait. Only time will tell. At least now nobody can say people are 'entitled' for wanting heists lol. That's a bright spot, right...

You know, I don't really debate anymore with anyone in the GTA sections. In fact, I barely venture into this section....this post reminded me why.

Were you here before the game's release? Were you reading all the previews R* was giving to magazines? All the details coming out about the game back then? Because they clearly stated that planning board IS. FOR. HEISTS. And that heists will come "soon after release". Or something along those words. Basically, heists were planned since before the game's release. I imagine it was more complex to code or implement than they thought and that's been the reason for all the delays.

Biggest hint that there would be heists: GTA V is a game about heists. They showed us a heist in the GTA: O trailer. An actual bank heist. Go look it up.

I'm not going to bother to debate further. I know it's pointless and it'll just turn into a nasty back and forth.

EDIT: Have fun, bro

How hard is it really to make heists it's just a longer mission right? And also if you are so pressed for time, do you really have to change RR and Coveted?

All I got to say is with the way Rockstar is going, Dice will come out with heists first.

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about:

lmao $60 for a mod using elements from previous games. Visceral sure knows how to take a page from EA.
