Couldn't care about heists if I'm honest. I'm having fun without them and I'm keeping my expectations low so they are good to me regardless of what the idiots that believed the hype think.

Well you can believe the hype all you want, just don't come back to this forum b*thing about how bad they are because you believed the hype.but you're assuming its going to bad, so keep assuming

 

I'm not assuming anything. I'm keeping my expectations low and ignoring the hype so I can actually enjoy heists regardless of how good or bad they are.

 

If heists are over glorified missions then I'd be able to get some fun out of them as I didn't listen to the hype. The best thing you can do is ignore the hype, this goes for everything... Games, phones, tablets, computer components, ect...

With all that heists hype I really got a question to masses: have you ever played Payday/ Payday II? I never played it and have no intention playing it. Because that entire heist idea looks just not promising to me.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like people are expecting heists as main money source and this with high probability will be a false, disappearing expectation. R* showed us that the only easy money is glitched money. Their deliberate efforts to mix-up things, repeatedly making missions harder and harder proves that.

 

Maybe not "main money source" but another way to earn a decent amount of money besides grinding the same missions over and over is the main reason I'm still wanting heists. Hopefully they're detailed and intricate, but even if they are "slightly upgraded contact missions" like a lot of people are saying, I'd still take that since it would at least be something new.

I almost can't believe they're going to be 'just' upgraded missions by now. The amount of work they seem to put in heists makes me think they're more than that.

 

But I'm smart enough to not get excited. Let's just wait, they'll come.

Rockstar just wants to make them as fun as possible, they know that the GTA Online community is expecting them to be amazing and they don't want to disappoint fans' expectations. I'd rather wait and enjoy GTA Online Heists as better as they can be instead of playing unfinished Jobs full of bugs and glitches.

It's so funny. GTA 5 was suppose to come out in Spring in 2013 last year. Yet it was delayed for the fall. Expect the heist to follow the same path like GTA 5 did.

Its not like they have took your money and given you zero is it?Nah, it's kinda cool, however for me it surely wouldn't be what it is if I hadn't been playing with hex editors and save editors then importing vehicles from story mode, doing the gate launch, or maybe selling a few vehicles...

If you're feeling like you need to go buy the same game, same storyline just for another console have at it. For that reason I hope they make it for Wii and maybe a mobile version so they can suck you into that trap too...

Anyway, the concept of heist is contradicting to their cash card obsession. So it would be cash card death or underpaid heist and angry customers or no heist at all.

Other than the money aspect I dont get what the hype is about. I mean in SP heists were alright but just felt like a small combination of other missions in one. Its nothing ground breaking so why do all these people act like its going to reinvent the game? I feel like it will be a small step above from getting "New Missions" in the DLC's.

I try to think about how they could really extend a heist mission Online, like making it last over a few in-game days via planning? I dont see the added fun there but what could they really do that would shock the community? Maybe Im just burned out on the idea of heists online from the constant talk of it since GTA:O launch.

I read somewhere that the Rock* development team had their office flooded with cash and the doors jammed shut.

 

They wanted to shout for assistance but as the flood came in they were busy laughing at all of us and their mouths got stuffed full of cash too.

Fair play this is a very sensible comment and even though i have never really cared about heists you are very right in what your saying just wish everyone had the same view on things. Yes maybe R* care about their wallet but they do also care about the community. If there was NO community there would be NO game!

Heists finally arrive, get played for a couple days then most stop caring about them. Theres no way they live up to the hype and the wait at this point. Get over it guys.
