Heists Officially delayed - Again

for those still waiting on heists, I'm sorry.

 

for those expecting heists to be incredibly good, I hate to disappoint you but the heists still in development are being created using rock's mission creator and if you think they're gonna be any better than the ones people have already made in capture mode than sh*t, I really feel sorry for ya.

My belief (speculation) is that the heist leader will need a high end apt but people they recruit will not...

 

 

Well, heist leader was suppose to be the person who distributes the money after the heists were done so that would be worth the high end apartment, though don't know if that's still the plan.

Much like most people in this thread, if they come out then, well, they come out. I will play them and hopefully they will be good. Until then, I could really give two sh*ts about them after waiting for so long.

The only "fact" we have is the statement of "along with the Heist Planning Board for your apartment."

 

Just because the planning board is included with the high end apartments, that does not mean that that is the only way to get a planning board. For all we know, there could be expenditures with a heist, where if you have a high end apartment, you don't have to buy a planning board, whereas if you don't, it would be an additional cost.

I know they have a lot going on because of all of the glitches and next gen release, but rockstar north has an experienced 400 person development team. It shouldnt take this long to make a few heists that are basically longer and more cinematic missions. They had the five year development, the three weeks after the relese of single player and now over a half year since the launch if the game. There is no excuse for not haveing them done by now. Plus there is something obviously wrong with them if they were supposed to be ready over a half year ago, and have now been delayed indefinitely and they are not telling us for a reason.

Heist is going to be crap, most likely. Heist will be full of teammate rammer and exploder. Heist won't pay much or will have a long lockdown before another attempt or else, Cash Card is dead.

 

I don't expect much and actually not waiting at all. But 'words', man..... I really hate it when someone keeps talking but never can do their promise in time or on time. If Rockstar is in form of a person I am teamworking a project with, I'd have had him fired by now or give a heavy cut to his salary.

Well, "big jobs" don't necessarily mean "heists," but it's pretty reasonable to assume that's what it was ramping up to.

 

It probably (even likely) was the plan at the time of GTA:O was released... I never really denied that. But, who knows what we'll end up with at this point, if anything.

 

 

People are bitching out rockstar but answer me this. Would you rather have an unfinished product on time, or a finished product late? If they would have released it on time you all would have bitched about it sucking because it's not finished! You're all mad because you aren't getting something that you wouldn't even enjoy at this point in time of it's production. So keep your panties on and wait.

In a nutshell, what it is is people wanting something that they don't, can't, or aren't supposed to have. Once they get it, they won't want it anymore.

 

Look at how many people are complaining that cars like Franklin's Buffalo are now available to get in a legit fashion... A good chunk of the people that glitched it in did it, simply because they weren't supposed to have it. The minute they could have it, they didn't want it anymore.

 

Heists will likely suffer the same fate. As soon as they are released, people will be complaining that something else isn't available, like the Casino, even though R* never said that it ever would be available.

 

In the end, it's a never ending cycle for some people... The minute R* releases something, instead of enjoying what was released, they will complain about what wasn't released.

My mistake, its not dlc, its a crap piece of content that came with a mandatory update.

From a player's prospective, sure, we want info. The problem is, when we get info, some disseminate every single word to draw their own conclusions.

 

When they announced the release of "The Business Update," people were SURE that that meant that we'd be able to own businesses online.

 

When they announced the release of "The High Life Update," people were SURE that it was gonna be released on or around April 20th, because of the name.

 

Then, when these things don't come to pass, R* gets blamed for "breaking a promise" or whatever nonsense they have dreamed up in their own head of what the update was supposed to be.

 

As for "is it the hackers/modders," I've said it before: R* could come out tomorrow and put right on their newswire: "Hackers/Modders/Glitchers/Cheaters delay content from being released." If they did, how many would stop it? My guess? Not many. Hell, I could see some people dememted enough to do it more, or start doing it, just to ruin R*'s "plan" for the game. Others would simply say that R* is "just using it as an excuse."

 

Even more proof is the update yesterday without a peep whatsoever from R* beforehand. Had it been known a new update was gonna be out, surely the glitchers would have padded their wallets with more illegit cash, in preparation, especially if they knew that the glitches would be patched.

 

In short, a segment of the community simply can't be trusted with the information. As a result, we all get left in the dark.

When they have set a deadline, which is the release date, that means the product should be finished by then, especially when customers have begin to invest some of their money in it. It's a top responsibility for all producer. Don't announce anything if their project's still blurry or far from completion due to whatever reason.

They would've told us that would be how they catch the glitchers anyway.. The reason they didn't is because we still thought heist was coming real soon... But they delay it yet again and instead spends maybe around 2-3 weeks quickly throwing clothes and cars and a gun or two with some fixes and patches into a file and releases it to us.

Whenever the heist do come out I have feeling that they'll be pretty good, considering how long it's taken them to give us some information about them. I'm not putting my full faith into them, I'm just hoping that they'll pay a decent amount, honestly even if they don't. I'm sure I'd still play it, including when they bring out the full mission creators. I like playing the missions they're fun. I just don't really appreciate the small amount of money I get from completing the mission, because I'm relatively poor in the game. Although I know it's just a video game, still would like to enjoy the vehicles that I cannot afford. I'll eventually get them, would like to catch up, and enjoy what most people are enjoying.

 

Närhelst heist kommer ut har jag känslan av att de ska vara ganska bra, med tanke på hur lång tid det tagit dem att ge oss lite information om dem. Jag sätter inte min fulla tro till dem, jag bara hoppas att de betalar en anständig summa, ärligt talat, även om de inte gör det. Jag är säker på att jag skulle fortfarande spela det, även när de tar in hela missions skapare. Jag gillar att spela uppdragen de är kul. Jag bara inte riktigt uppskattar den lilla summa pengar jag får från att slutföra uppdraget, därför att jag är relativt dålig i spelet. Don't be silly. Of course nobody wants an unfinished product. That doesn't mean that people don't have the right to be disappointed.

 

If you don't have a finished product you don't go public about it. And more importantly you don't go public with a release date unless you are absolutely sure you can deliver in time.

Now, there's always room for minor delays and deviations but we past that point a long time ago. Rockstar repeatedly missed their mark, they know it, and they don't make excuses, so why should anyone else?

 

It's like when you are trying to collect a debt from a friend and he promises to pay you back next week. And the following week you hear nothing from your friend and after another week you accidentally bump into him and so you ask him when he's gonna pay. Not right now, he says. But I promise you I'll give it to you by the end of this month. And so it goes on until one day you either slap the bastard and take the money or you simply get tired of constantly chasing him around so you decide to say f*ck it, let it go and just cross him off your list of friends.

 

I say this from an observer's perspective. It really makes no difference to me personally if heists comes out tomorrow or in 2025.

But it is perfectly understandable if some people feel mislead and disappointed.

 

Everyone knows that we can't do anything about it. But nevertheless people need to vent and talk about it. It's what we do.

So don't bash each other over different opinions. We're all just looking at it from different points of view and you wouldn't be able to tell where you stand unless someone else shares their point of view.
