I guess they really hate it. When Potshot becomes the next big hit, that mission will receive the same fate again

Yeah it would be. They would make you kill 20 guys in the weed farm then a other 2 cars with 4 people each will come along the dirt road then the van spawns on the highway and you have chase the van and stop it then deliver the van all the way to Los Santos. That would happen in 1.15 I bet yea.

With as many people farming Coveted on an hourly basis (just like the old RR), R* had to change it; it was obvious that the mission was unbalanced. Does anyone actually believe that when they look at play data and see that a mission gets completed 100 times more than any other mission that that doesn't send up a red flag?

Yeah, no, not happening. One shouldn't have to host, just to experience more than 2 missions because kids can't make money in this game.

True. But that happens simply because the rest of the missions are Imbalanced too - towards customer's side.

Then you can't blame them. They're hosting and they never ask you to join.

 

I can't blame them too when they're hosting their sh*tty Custom DM or race. Annoying, sure.But I just have to leave if I dislike and host my own stuff.

Now people farm the same lame missions over and over and the game gets extremely boring fast. Let's even out the payment and get the fun back.

Holy sh*t! Although I haven't played it yet, from the sounds of it they didn't just tweak Coveted, they made it about 10X more difficult and (of course) far longer to complete.

 

Wow. Total BS as this had been my farming mission of choice lately.

That happens when non-quality action outweigh the quality.

 

 

Yeah - why can't we just get good news for once instead of "What do you want to hear first, the good news or the bad news?"

At-a-glance, lots of neat new stuff which will of course cost lots more $$$ to accumulate. I like the idea of having a couple seconds to detonate your stickies after you die. :)

Why would they increase the pay for the other missions when they can just screw up the missions with decent pay?

Isn't there a thread saying R* was probably going to do this. Dude must be able to see into the future or some sh*t.

Well once they "fixed" Rooftop Rumble even more people started flocking to Coveted, especially the lower level players. So of course R* was going to target it. Trust me, if any other mission payed 18k or above and everyone started playing it that mission would suddenly need to be "fixed".

 

I also expect since RR is still pretty easy (save for when the document destroys it self for no reason) that it will need to be "fixed" again. This time the document will be on a helicopter that you will have to skydive onto because blowing up the helicopter will destroy the document or something incredibly silly like that.

I'm wasn't surprised. I was waiting for this mission to be increased in difficulty. I've noticed that this has now become an absurd trend for missions commonly grinded by the online community.

 

Mixed up with coke or Trash talk might be next.

I havent logged in yet because im not home but what i have read about the new Coveted i got excited...as i was generally always just killing and clearing the way for teammates to grab the cargobob and the trailer and then id be left behind and jump in the ocean and thats how i got my Lung Capacity to 100%....and now i get to shoot down a helicopter chasing down the cargobob?

I cant wait!

  • The following difficulty changes have been made to the mission “Coveted”:
    • New objectives added: When the players arrive at the cove their objective becomes “Secure the landing site”. Players then have 2 minutes to reach the Cargobob’s landing area and kill nearby enemies. Failing to do this in 2 minutes will fail the mission.
    • Enemy placement: Around 50% of the enemies have been moved from the beach to the hill leading to the landing site. This is to create more of a shootout on the way down to the landing site.
    • Cargobob now takes around 2 minutes to arrive once the players have reached the cove
    • 2 enemies near the objective container now have RPGs (Low Accuracy).
    • Enemies on the beach no longer have Extended LOS, meaning they won’t shoot at the players as they fight down the hill
    • Drop-off location for the container is now at a warehouse in Cypress Flats. Previously the drop was too close to the action.
    • Once the player has collected the container, an enemy helicopter spawns and pursues the Cargobob

       

      And

       

    • Fixed an issue in Coveted where NPCs in the Mission could blink in and out of view if zoomed in on with the sniper scope.
