Similarities between GTA:O, and Battlefield: Hardline.

Now, this probably isn't the kind of thread you think it is. I was playing the BF: Hardline beta today, when I noticed something. Hardline has a lot of the same vehicles almost as GTA:O.

 

I personally think it's pretty cool, it's like a way to play heists before heists actually come out. The robbers get the standard white van, a big Sandking XL, (seriously, look it up.) some Batis, and a few SUVs and sedans that look just like the ones from GTA. (Can't recall their names, Exemplar/Schafter/granger/etc.) The police get some familiar vehicles as well, same model of SWAT van as ours, but no crown vics sadly. (The crown vics are scenery, the cops get faster high end cars like Charger look alikes) They've got the big fairing police bikes, and even spawn with a Little Bird and Blackhawk. Oh, and it's set in downtown L.A. too. (Fighting around the Maze Bank area.) There's also a lot of random vehicles placed around like Mustangs.

 

It's almost like a first person GTA! They've got baseball bats, tasers, tear gas and gas masks, knives, batons, parachutes, grenades, gadgets, and guns that are all in GTA:O. If you ever wondered what GTA:O heists would be like if they were competitive, and in first person view, I dare you take a quick look at the Hardline beta. Now, I know what some of you are thinking, "Well of course they're similar, they're both set in the same time frame with a cops and robbers theme; so it's not exactly surprising to see that they have the same vehicles and weapons..." I know, I know. I just think it's cool is all. Like I've said in the past, my ideal game would GTA, with Battlefield's first person. What about you guys. What else have spotted in the beta that reminds you of GTA:O? (Seriously though, they've got a freakin' Sandking too.)

They seem pretty similar to me. I'm running around with a G36c with the same attachements driving a Bati 800 to go and loot and armoured truck that the police are defending with Ahnihilators and Buzzards, then I'm being chased with a big orange dufflebag full of money on my back just like in the SP while charger cop cars and robbers in the same mustangs as GTA follow me as I try to get away. When I get away, I get a cut of the money I stole for my team to spend on new stuff for my cars and guns. It's damn near the same exact experience for me.

Pretty much this, only difference is that there's no auto-aim. Ohhhhhhhh!

I can just hear it in his voice. In that really sh*tty, condencending, mono tone voice. They just do that sh*t to try and rustle your jimmies.

 

Having played the Hardline beta quite a bit, the similarities are few and fair between.

 

My recommendation? Cut back on the drugs OP.

So you haven't been on at all this past week? Because there's been countless topics comparing GTA to every game containing criminals and guns. And even more, they're comparing a game that isn't out to a feature/mode that isn't out yet. It's repetitive and useless comparing two completely different games, especially when the comparison constantly gets made. Not sure which is worse, GTA Vs. Watch dogs, GTA Vs. BF:hardline, or GTA Vs. PAYDAY 2.
