First Nuclear Waste Barrel Not Showing?

Recently, I decided to embark on finding all 30 nuclear waste barrels. After replicating the location of the first one with numerous different tutorials, maps and walkthroughs, I have came to the conclusion that the first barrel is not spawning.

I have checked in my stats to see if I have already picked it up, but since there is no checklist of how many I've picked up I must of not picked one up yet.

The Trackify app. is telling me to go somewhere completely different. I have restarted the app., reloaded the save and restarted the game to make no change.

This is incredibly annoying and causing me a huge headache. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

SVX.

Did you try to go where the Trackify app directs you? Sometimes the barrels can be at the crush depth or close to the shore so you need to watch how deep underwater you are.

The barrels all spawn at once, as far as I know, so you don't need to get the first one on the map. The app is trying to direct you to the closest barrel, there isn't a specific pattern but most of the time the app will take you north around the map. I collected all Nuclear Waste 2 days ago and had no problems.

But, if I start the app. at the docks or where the barrel should be, shouldn't it find it?

This is how the app works

When you're looking for the barrels, the blip ALWAYS has to be at the top. Not the sides, not the bottom. The red blip points you in the direction of the barrel. The number above shows how deep will you have to go to get to the object. Arrow pointing down (like in the picture) means that you have to go down, arrow pointing up means you have to go up.

Just keep following the blip to get to the object. If the blip directs you to land, then you will have to go around the land/map to find the barrel (remember to keep watching the app in case you're near the barrel). Once the circles on the app will zoom in, that means you're close to the location.

I understand this, but what I'm trying to say is that the first barrel is not in it's location. It's disappeared. I have looked and compared the location with many maps and videos, but it's not there. I haven't picked it up, because the stats don't say anything about any nuclear waste that has been found yet. Trackify can't find it either, instead it finds one in a complete different part of the the map, which it shouldn't as there are nuclear waste barrels not far from the dock. Sorry if I didn't clarify this.

I have a feeling my use of a game save editor may have something to with this. Because on this save, it glitches up Rockstar Social Club, by showing missions as incomplete, even though I've completed them.

Just go for anywhere the app shows. No need to go in the same order as maps or videos.

Yes, save editor can sometimes glitch the save. Try checking all locations first and if no barrels are there, then it's most likely glitched. You could try using save editor again to mark nuclear waste as complete but I can't guarantee that nothing else has glitched.

I found the cause of this. The save editor indeed was the route cause. I ended up unticking them all and finding them myself. The problem is that it's tampered with the Submarine Pieces as well, and you can't change those in the editor. :panic:

When it comes to the save editor, it's best not to tinker around too much with anything that has to do with missions, or side-stuff. I only use the character and vehicle tabs, and never encounter anything negative. But it's good you found out the problem, good luck.

That's the thing, I didn't touch anything other than increasing the money. The save editor did it itself which is really weird. :/

I normally leave save editing things to another save which I use for tinkering but I missed a stock market day so I put in roughly what I should of got and instead it did so much more damage. :(

Thanks for the wishes. :)
