i know your character will shift over from last gen but will all the cars/houses and guns switch over to or will it just start with your leveled up character and money ?

Sarcasm isn't best acknowledged through the internet, since you can't really understand the expression of someone through their typing; unless, ofcourse, you know them in real life and understand their character.

 

So, on-topic: your GTA Online progress is entirely tracked by the Rockstar Cloud Servers, and hopeful of the reliability, we will be able to use our current characters on next gen, cross-platform. So if you have GTA V on Xbox 360 and you want to continue your online legacy on next gen, you can use it on Xbox One or PS4, with the cloud servers allowing you to do so.

Everything that your character has saved on the R* cloud will transfer over, I'd believe. That's taking into consideration that nothing goes wrong during the process.

Yes, you will be able to transfer all our progress between the consoles, including your character, progress, assets and money. Literally, everything that you've on your console and Social Club/Console account so far.
