Anyone have any tips for BMXing?

I know about all the parks, but how do ride the pools and ramps more smoothly?

 

Should I be holding or pressing the button repeatedly while in pools/ramps?

 

What's the key to grinding? Just timing and jump placement?

 

 

Any amazing bmx spots that isn't in a park? Any good building spots?

The giant freeway cluster that looks like a T is super fun to jump around, it's got elevation changes as well. I did it once with a bounty and this guy in a super car couldn't keep up with the constant barrier and off ramp jumping. Of course he could have just gotten out and shot me, but we were having a psychic moment were we both knew he was only going to be happy driving over me. Beyond that I'd say search "parkour" in the bike race section of rockstargames.com and try out some of the crazy custom maps people have made. It's unreal.

I'd LOVE to have something to add, but to be honest I have no idea how to explain any of the things I do in a way that would make any real sense as far as stunts go lol. I am literally winging it every single time, but you kinda get a feel for the timing.

 

My suggestion is to just spend time and experiment with hold/releasing/taping the "bunny hop button" during certain things.

 

As far as spots go, I like the hills and mountains up in Blaine county around the clothing stores and customs shop. Del perro beach also has ramps and things specifically set up for bikes. There should also be a half pipe in that park not too far from the beach.

Trick Tip: Lean forward then lean back doing a wheelie causing you to gain massive air on half pipes. Makes for easy back flips and whicked 360's. Have fun out there on streets of San Andreas.

I'm not sure of the actual name, but front wheelies are really easy to do (gather speed, push up on the analogue, brake). Holding the jump button can lengthen the front wheelie, and you can jump out of one and into another.

Knowing that RB makes you jump means you're already ahead of 95% of GTA players.

 

Tips? Cycle aimlessly and have fun and you'll improve over time.
