Redesigned Free Roam Scoreboard

R* should add a new scoreboard for free roam (and possibly other game modes).
The new scoreboard should be similar to the one in Red Dead redemption and other FPS games.
You hold down on the d-pad and it will show you all the players in the lobby as well their kills and deaths, (maybe K/D ratio), their characters face, Rank, Ping or the simple bars from COD, job points and other features just like the scoreboard on RDR.
You also have the option to mute other players through the scoreboard instead of going into the pause menu.

I just wish they brought back Friendly Fire Off/On option.

 

Your idea is pretty good but RockstarGames probably isn't going to bring all that back like the customized lobby feature from gta iv or the classic controls for vehicles and aircrafts or anything from the previous games made by rockstargames. But maybe they could add some things to the interaction menu like an instant mute for the players.

Aren't the servers for GTAO dedicated servers? Regardless, it's the same as R* not showing the player count.

 

 

Their used to gain information on a lobby to connect to players on the other end & the host as well..

This would actually ruin the game. Free mode is free mode, it's supposed to be an objectiveless and aimless free for all mashup. If you introduced a scoreboard into that, it would just make people treat it as a deathmatch. The freedom aspect of it would disappear, which is fundamentally what GTA is, and what GTA Online is.

The free roam scoreboard could be just like RDR. It only would show up the face, gamertag, microphone, job points, and connection bars (ping)

Not needed.

If people want to do battle; do it in a death match.

 

Having a K/D scoreboard in FR defeats it's own purpose.

The scoreboard would just make players pick on others.

I think that will make free-roam even more dangerous than ever with people trying to top the scoreboard by killing others.
