They added more stuff for next gen so that we would feel screwed, and that would make us buy the next gen version and a PS4. I think R* are very smart doing this. They are making the game even better than before. This is going to be what V should have been to start with. Everything they put in the next gen version was an after thought. They are listening to the fans and are aware of their mistakes, and are fixing everything up for us as a surprise in the next gen release. The game is going to blow our pants through the roof! Even if it's small like detail upgrades and increased AI. If you feel like you're getting screwed don't buy it. Dude PS3 and XBOX360 are f*cking 10 years old! Of course they have their limitations, which is why the AI is so poor, the textures are so low and there were obvious features scrapped from this version. The next-gen version is the proper version, they aren't making quick bucks on it that's what they wanted to do with the old gen. They should have not cut the grasses, better graphic's and the weather so that we could play a laggy as f*ck game with 10 fps and they shouldn't have cut 20 gb so that it wouldn't fit in my 360's 20 gb hard drive. If it wouldn't come to next gen I would be happy since next gen is sh*t and I have come to the conclusion that they cut stuff just to get more money like they have done with all the update stuff for online with the 10$ business pack and there are no limitations in the old consoles. They should have just skipped the old gen because it didn't show what the consoles could handle unlike games with 5 hour sp story's that are made in a year because they take the old consoles to the limits even if there are no limits. Yes, Rockstar purposely downgraded their game, in order to trick you into re-buying the proper version a year later. It's nothing to do with them pushing an eight year old console as far as it can possibly go and then utilizing the new technology to further improve their game world. Obviously they spent five plus years building Los Santos and Blaine County for quick bucks! Lol. I don't get it.. why did you not complain about getting "downgraded" versions of all the other GTA's? Yet, you chose to buy the game with the content it had. If anything, NG buyers should be more pissed, to find out they will be buying a new GTA game, which has the exact same storyline and most of the same content as the previous release What would have been preferable for you guys, apparently, is if they didn't release this "better GTA V" at all, and just kept the current limited one and just waited until 'GTA VI' development which will only be for NG anyway... I can take that now, I'm already amazed by the map details in the trailer but a bit worried at the same time for trees in Blaine County and Palm Trees in LS, that's my only complaint about details. If I get this new version, the first thing I'm gonna do after Franklin & Lamar is check how's the hikers at Mount Chiliad scene, then Raton Canyon/Cassidy Creek, and then the 2405 house. Then compare the other Trailer 1 locations again, someone saw shoes hanging around in a cable in front of Frank's house in NG/PC Trailer, those shoes also appeared in Trailer 1 hanging in cables above the alley where a man is chased by the LSPD, in the final game the only place I've seen those is inside an abandoned house in Sandy Shores. GTA Online didn't go the way I wanted it to go (I don't like the constant blips on radar, the casual, wayward attitude, the lack of consequence of dying/crashing your car, the lack of things to do of any worth, the lack of rewards, long term objectives or direction in the game) but you can't seriously say they "never delivered on everything they advertised with GTA Online" I mean - they delivered a fully open sandbox world, where 16 players can do pretty much whatever they want at the same time. That's pretty amazing for a start! It's true they haven't released Heists yet and some other details we were expecting but enough of the sweeping statements! GTA Online is an awesome achievement and much of what they said they were going to deliver. I just hope beyond hope that GTA Online 2 will come with the next-gen, and it will be totally overhauled. Gdog Posted June 13, 2014 Share Posted June 13, 2014 no sh*t. every game that has ever been released will have cut content. and don't say "oh but console limits, don't talk to me about it!". that's EXACTLY why they were cut. the consoles couldn't handle it. at least things such as: npc/vehicle density, weather effects, wildlife, res/fps etc. that's why there is a PS4/XB1/PC version, because they can handle that stuff so they don't need cut from the game. they didn't remove it from the PS3/360 version so they could rip you off and make you to buy the game again. other things removed from or added to the the game like music, vehicles, stories etc would be as a design/artistic choice. rockstar would have felt it didn't add to the atmosphere or pacing of the story or whatever. that stuff will never change. we're talking driving physics/ police ai, interiors here. so they can't rip you off! stop complaining please. just enjoy the god damn game. But if interiors, peds and other dead life city feeling is coming alive I will purchase it on NG. I don't play online so no need of a give a f*ck about a MP character lost from myself. I believe we can't conclude to one particular factor, as many things combine to form the reasons.
