I mean look at the part where it says insiders say we may have the game before March 2015.Really? Because they are going to release Gta 6 a few months after a next gen Gta 5 release. It also says Houston may be our next location according to insiders but just last week insiders claimed in a different article that our next location is Vice City. I'm new to these forums and enjoy reading them and one thing I've learned is for the most part outside of these forums people don't have a clue about Gta. What's your thoughts on these "insiders"?

Hmmm nice bike

You're right, "insiders" and even proper analysts as well have zero clue about the series or how Rockstar doesn't release a new game in the series every year. I remember Michael Pachter (electronics and video game analyst) being wrong countless times about GTA V's announce date and release date.

Seriously, I'm sure that the source is pretty unrealiable. Releasing GTA VI a few months or so after the release GTA V on next generation consoles sounds impossible. How the hell they shall have time for it? Even it takes years to devise a marketing stategy. I'm sure that it's too early for a new GTA game.

Don't even get me started on Pachter lol.

Early 2017 or late 2016 sounds more like a true release date, not 2015.

Even that is too early. I'd say fall 2017 is realistic and that is taking I to consideration that they don't due another Bully, LA Noire, or Midnight Club game. The way things are going I predict Agent in late 2015 with Red Dead 2 in mid 2016. I would think R* would want 2017 for Gta 6 to celebrate 20 years, which is a very long time for franchise. Don't forget Max Payne 4. I think that is more likely to happen after gta 6 but if they decide to release before your looking at 2018/19 for gta 6.

If GTA 6 will be set in Houston I will be very dissapointed. What is there to see and do in Houston? Detroit, D.C. or New Orleans seem more interesting. Maybe Philly or Baltimore aswell.

I second DC.

Damn right the home of gogo and mumbo sauce DC is awesome we got lots of interesting neighborhoods and people in the area all those politicians making decisions and the hood rats in the ghetto as well.

I would like to see a GTA in the midwest though before DC gets a shot in GTA

I think the Chicago area would also be good but watch dogs just did it so I don't know if R* wants it

Detroit would work better lets go where the American dream comes to die Just like NY is an overused setting Chicago is used a lot for the Midwest its not a problem but Detroit needs some love. Detroit could work well with all of the Urban decay and how that city has gone downhill for some social commentary.

Maybe the Insiders are from Rockstar. So they show all 100% legit locations of the future title and even tease a release. With tons of visual and knowledgeable proof, they're really reliable people. I trust them, and you should, too.

It's a joke.

i still think it's way too early to be thinking of GTA VI. but i do think it will come out much sooner than we expect.

it's no secret that TAKE TWO want rockstar putting out GTA games more often. so no more waiting 4-5 years between release. i'd say 3 years is a reasonable amount of time. it's not too soon that people thinking they are whoring it out but it's not too long that people are complaining. they don't really need to focus on the multiplayer part anymore since that's taken care of with GTA Online. That will be in constant development between the releases of main games.

also, apparently developing for the new gen consoles is much easier so that may speed it up a bit for North. they would be able to make a game with just as much quality as previous games in a much shorter time.

i'm pretty sure that they've started work on GTA VI by now as V has been out about 9 months now. i'm gonna take a guess and say we'll see GTA VI as early as Fall 2016 or Spring 2017. thats ~3/3.5 years after release of GTA V.
