Sorry, OP, your ideas suck, and the one I've left above isn't an idea.

 

Personally I don't see the issue with the Mental State. Anyone using it as an indicator of whether or not they can trust a player is not only naive, but flat-out stupid. I never needed colour coordinated dots to tell me things about players before the patch brought them in, so guess what I do with them now...
