Just another bitch and moan topic hiding behind suggesting a change to some feature of the Rhino.

 

From all the topics so far I can only conclude that the Rhino should shoot 15 - 20 white doves symbolising peace with other players in GTA Online and be accompanied by a tank icon on other players mini-map with a warning giving when you join a session that a player is using a tank...so you can more easily make peace with the tank driver of course.

Tell me about it.

 

Honestly, if you can't handle me driving around in my 60-ton, all-terrain armored car with an attached 120mm cannon, then here's a couple of solutions for you. Find a new session or do some grinding like I did to get your own tank to fight me. Can't afford the tank? Then grind RP for the RPG. Just as effective and much cheaper. As a legit player, I had to waste a couple days to get $1.5 Million and some people here are asking for another 50k for like 5 shells and a $2000 delivery with an hour cool down. Might as well add another cool down for shell purchasing. How about after 2 purchases of 5 shells, we have the player wait for 30 minutes to an hour before they can purchase another 10 shells?

 

In my eyes, the tank rewards those players who sit there playing the same few missions over and over to get enough RP and money to unlock it. I know some people here just want this for the tank saturation to go away, so here's my solution. Get R* to take away all the tanks with modded money (which is probably about half the players that can use tanks) and let them earn the tank with patience if they wanna use it.

Don't change the tank. Taking it from Pegasus concierge solves all that.

When police snipe me from a crashing helicopter or some other bs I occasionally go get my Rhino just to give them the middle finger. I don't even remember the last time I used one on a player, if I need firepower I will get the ever superior Lazer.

 

With Lesters turn blind eye ability literally anybody can get one from Fort Zancudo. (be it tank or lazer)

They have never and will never be a problem, people just need to learn to swallow their f*cking pride, switch on passive mode or find a new session.

I'm not a fan of tanks personally, but I also don't think that they need to be removed... My solution would be, in order of importance:

 

1: Add a "cool off" period. Once a player's tank is destroyed, you must wait one ingame day (48 mins) to call for another.

 

 

What a stupid idea this would be.

You get your tank blown up then how do you kill the guy in his tank? What sounds like a good idea is the most flawed out of all your suggestions.

I honestly wish people would stop complaining/making threads about tanks. They're not really even that much of a problem. The issue is that people try and attack and blow them up instead of simply going the other way, then start crying when they keep on getting blown up themselves.

I see tanks in free roam maybe once every 3 or 4 days,

simple enough to avoid them, as they are always in the middle of the city with a congregation of red dots around them that are turning into crosses every now and then,

 

Maybe a tank icon on the radar to warn others it's a tank not a player in a car, but then again, why bother, this is GTA after all, if you head towards another player with the intent of killing them, turn the corner and they are in a tank, tough titty,

 

It's not as if you are forced to take the tank on, as mentioned plenty of times, you can leave the area or switch sessions with just a few button clicks.

I own a tank, but that's not what I have a problem with. I'd rather that we keep tanks in the game, but keep players from buying them, just like jets. That way every body and they mom don't keep spamming tank spawns till 10 players in a single session have one.

 

Smh can't anyone act or think without a tank anymore.

It gets annoying after a while when you and a friends are having a 7 man shoot out with randoms in an open session. That's good fun...

 

Only until someone gets they feelings hurt cause they got killed too many times, and they only way they can think to redeem themselves is a tank. And it's never just one of them. 1 tank opens a can of worms that leads to half the session with tanks.

 

It's annoying that you can't fight and get the better of some one with out the possibility of them retreating for a tank.

 

Sure I could get my tank and blow them up (I personally hate using tanks). Sure I could just run away, or join a new session.

But honestly? Who wants to keep doing that? It gets real old. Real fast.

 

No to mention tank scrubs that run away after you fry their tank cause they can't defend themselves with out it. It's all very sad.

Everyone would be playing by the same rule... Everyone would have the "cool off" period after their tank is destroyed.

 

I really don't understand the problem, unless you're complaining about someone else blowing your tank up with another tank before you can get them...

 

If that's the case, you're just proving how OP tanks are, by saying that you can't beat another person in a tank without a tank of your own.

 

As it is, there is little to no consequence for having your tank blown up... Just call for another. There's no break to the cycle.

 

Putting a cool off period on the ability to call for a tank would come with a consequence... You get blown up, you don't get another for one in-game day... So, don't get blown up...

All of you bitching about tanks obviously have never figured out how the fighter jet works... I'm so sick of hearing about tanks it's not even funny. It's not that hard to out run them for one, In fact the slowest of cars can out run the tank. Two, if you don't want to take on a tank don't go effing near them. 3 learn the fighter jet. 4. Buy your own dam tank 5. If you see/hear a tank go the other way. This things are not that difficult to figure out. Why should rock* take something away from this game because a bunch of little b!tches get their panties all in a bunch as soon as someone pulls one out.
