Or at-least refunded and put back into the military base were they belong. Or just have them spawn near there when ordered from Pegasus

Potentially a good idea but then the same would have to probably apply for other vehicles that have working weapons.

I'm not a fan of tanks personally, but I also don't think that they need to be removed... My solution would be, in order of importance:

 

1: Add a "cool off" period. Once a player's tank is destroyed, you must wait one ingame day (48 mins) to call for another.

 

2: Any time the cannon blows up a PV, the tanker pays the insurance.

 

3: Up the cost to get them. It used to be higher, but lowering it to $200 per pop is too low, IMO... It costs around 3x as much for a sticky.

 

4: Make it somewhat easier to disable (not necessarily destroy). For example, a sticky on the tread should make the tank significantly tougher to control, like when a tire is popped on a car.

 

These things, IMO, would balance the tank more than it is currently.

 

I'd also be in favor of limiting or charging for tank ammo, but if the 4 things above were implemented, it wouldn't be nearly as necessary.

Ionno, many are saying it should be applied to other weapon-vehicles but those tend to be less over powered so yeaaaa

mmm maybe not charge for ammo but remove the infinite ammo.

 

give the tank 15-20 shells and a pegasus cooldown of 5-10minutes that begin the moment the tank get destroyed.

Just another bitch and moan topic hiding behind suggesting a change to some feature of the Rhino.

 

From all the topics so far I can only conclude that the Rhino should shoot 15 - 20 white doves symbolising peace with other players in GTA Online and be accompanied by a tank icon on other players mini-map with a warning giving when you join a session that a player is using a tank...so you can more easily make peace with the tank driver of course.

If everyone was rolling tanks all the time it'd be annoying - but if someone just wants to have crazy fun occasionally it's all good with me.

Honestly, the tank is fine. I'd just appreciate it if it wasn't in the hands of every tom, dick and jane who can't think of anything else to do but call 15 tanks. Tank saturation with 10 players in a session using the. Is my issue.

 

Taking them from Pegasus concierge would stop the whole "lemme get a tank... Ok lemme get another... Ok lemme get another" train

 

I'm also led to believe that with all of the players that glitch, everybody who owns a tank didn't do so fairly anyways.

 

I guarantee that if a player had to go up to the base, possibly expend $5000 thru Lester, and then drive all the way back EVERYTIME they want a tank, there will be less of them.

 

However, in the meantime, nothing is changing so I will continue to play as wisely as I have been.
