Agathodaemon
I've watched that NG&PC version of GTA V trailer many many times and I have to admit, that amount of traffic and pedestrians is really gorgeous, but I'm asking myself: when in old gen console version sometimes I have problem to drive between cars, how it is going to be in that new version? Are we going to drive very slowly in order to not destroy a car? What about achievements in missions, like not a scratch? In my opinion, that new traffic density is great, but it's going to be a problem in some missions (for example, when you have to drive very fast to get somewhere in a right time, or to chase someone). What do you think about it?
_Kindled_
At times in life you have to ask yourself, "How difficult is it for people who are going through their daily lives, driving through hair-ripping, unacceptable traffic?" You have to think about other people but yourself. In real life, I mean. Is it easy for them to drive through the road while there are cars to the left and to the right of them? Most people have problems when they're driving in between cars, if not, they're obviously dare-devils... no exceptions. Now onto seriousness. I'm pretty sure that on the PC version of GTA IV there was an option to increase/decrease the traffic density. Maybe, they'll add that option again. If not they might have forgotten, or they just don't care(Quite unlikely given the fact that the video editor is coming back). Don't know about the Next-Gen console version, though. If we have that option, then we're in luck. If not, then just try the PC version. Hopefully, it's added. Neaera
Obviously, they're not blind to that fact, they'll most probably set the traffic to be lighter when it needs to be. BLOOD, Gdog and SCOOBASTEEB
capomertadon
I like weaving in and out of dense traffic until i finaly f*ck up and smash into the ass of another car or the wall. Its amusing, As long as the dense traffic is in the right parts of the city I am cool with it.. and as long as they arent all the same vehicle. Now what we really need is tramps selling cigarettes and washing our car windows as we wait.. har har.
Bluewave984
They want to make it more realistic. LA has the worst traffic in the country. As someone who commutes two hours each way in bumper to bumper traffic from Long Island to NYC everyday, it will be nice to just get in a nice big tractor trailer in the game and just plow through cars lol. fefenc
I hope they add an option to chose between realistic handling style and the current GTA V handling style, it would be like auto-aim and free aim options, one for kids and another for adults. weidncol
Good idea, but won't happen due to the way how handling works in the game. There's always mods to change out the handling data file for a modified one.
oCrapaCreeper
It'll most likely be toned down in the finished product. There was like almost bumper to bumper in Sandy Shores, and that alleyway next to Micheal's house. Edited June 13, 2014 by oCrapaCreeper
ric4rd094
I think it was only like that on the trailer. Many mission will have "scripted" traffic so there will be no problem to avoid it. They need to do spawn areas connected with in-game time and everything should be fine BLOOD
Vercettis
I don't care about things being realistic if it's only going to add frustration. I don't know about you guys, but more traffic does not sound fun lol. It's bad enough when I'm trying to speed and a big truck or van turns the corner. That's obviously rigged and I don't even want to think about crowded streets. This is like when people loved the idea of your character flying out of their cars. No, that is not fun or awesome. It's annoying. There are some things video games just shouldn't do, if you ask me

There are many who share the same thoughts as you and then there are those who are like me who want more traffic. It depends on the person. I do see where you are coming from. Only reason I want more traffic is because it makes los santos feel more like a living city. I think GTA 5 is great game when comparing it to 4 but I think Los Santos is a horrible city compared to Liberty City because it doesn't feel alive like LC did. I wish there was a option like MCLA had where you can choose to have heavy, medium, or light traffic that way everyone is happy. sivaG, Kampret and P2FX

Also, this game needs something to get harder.. even if its just driving. Its the easiest GTA on the market..
bensons
This is wahy I stated before that we would need a nice tarmac racetrack to visit anytime in free roam and also...............why so much traffic in Sandy Shores?
jamieleng
It may only be bumper to bumper traffic at certain times of the day, like during rush hour.
Ben73
If traffic density was very heavy, chasing someone would be no problem because the person you are chasing would be also dodging traffic and going slower too.
Gdog
i was thinking about this too. it LOOKS great but how will it be when we're driving. this is a video game. if i wanted to get stuck in traffic for fun then i'd go take my car out into the city. hopefully they allow the density to change at different times. in the early morning it's quiet, mid morning it gets busier then dies off for a bit. gradually gets busier throughout the afternoon then it's absolutely crowded at rush hour then gradually quietens down into the evening/night. an for during missions they'll code it so that you're not sitting in traffic or driving towards a sh*t load of cars while trying to chase someone

œaœa
Even if people don't like it, they can always change it in the popcycle.dat, this controls how many Peds/cars spawn. nicktestbranch

They would have to make two handling setups for each an every car in the game, and make the other one ''realistic'' for your joy. Not quite something they'd spend time making I'm sure. Spider-Vice
The traffic density option will definitely be in the PC version I'd assume, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it on the consoles too. RadioActiveLobster
I just hope the new traffic system has patrolling police cars. It was weird to never see patrolling police in the game and that they only showed up when you had a wanted level. nicktestbranch

What I would like to see is the ability to be pulled over and just given a fine for small things that usually get you arrested. Police AI is screwed up in this game where they try to kill you for everything.
Euda
They have to spot an acceptable compromise between atmospheric, urbanic traffic load and a great driving-experience and offer the ability for the player to drive at max speed on several roads if he wants to. Johan
Probably they made it like that just for the trailer to show they can add more than we were used to.. or they can tweak the traffic DURING missions.

It has to know "who" you are, ie IP address and browser. From the IP address they can get your ISP, not a breach of identity or NSA-isms at all, it's always been like this. Welcome to the Internet, you don't even know what it can know. Funny thing is, I have never been freaked out about those shady ads on porn sites with fake chats telling me that they are near my city.
