Cops are just fine. Easy enuff to evade even with five stars. Pretty soon this game will be a Homer automobile.

'Why are cops great? Or why are the cops in-game great? Either one is a retarded question, I just wanna know what I'm getting into.

According in a real life police strategies, cops takes their time shooting and reloading. And they take their positions defensive in a gun fight.

Some cops last in a gun fight, if their running out of numbers. They will be calling more cops on the way.

You must understand how real life cops do .

A cop should take more than 5 minutes to get to the gun fight location

Protip: when the cops come, get out of their vision and hide.

If you can't play at that level, do not provoke the situation.

If I'm going to push for 4 or 5 stars, I have an exit strategy planned to escape before I start anything.

After a robbery you'll likely only have 2 stars, 3 if you've done it too much. 2 stars is easily evaded, 3 stars may require a tunnel, the underground subway, or some other cover. But evading the cops is part of the game. It always has been.

They should just remove the mind-reading police mechanic, in real life. cops takes time searching for you.

Cops in the game should take time. they can't know where you are. if you went that way or the other way. Cops have to figure where is this suspect going to. then when the cops hear you making noise or speeding off. they'll go to your location for making noises like your footsteps.

This.

I'm sick of using a certain car, park it in a parking lot (like the Rooftop Rumble parking garage), run away from the car, switch cars, drive far away (drive to Sandy Shores), and the cops spawn near me. Wut.

There is no way a cop car gets there fast. They'll take more than 5 minutes to get on the location. I think Rockstar should make the Cop spawns far. You know cops drive more than 5 blocks in the street. Even their coming from the police department. All cops spawn should be not too far and not too close.

Not 5 minutes, maybe 1 minute.

Remember in game 5 minutes is two and a half hours

Rockstar themselves answered this months ago.

Now the game isn't a super accurate masterpiece of perfect intelligence simulation. It is a game, so this applies at times when it clearly shouldn't like when you're in the desert etc BUT the concept was that any good law enforcement officer will know the area, likely hiding spots, and be receiving information from the public. Also there are random officers spread around the map - so if you're driving and see one appear in front of you - that happens in real life as well.

I've found that if they see me driving north, I escape their vision and fly east (or west) they will go in the wrong direction. There is a chance I'll come across random officers, but usually I can just hide the vehicle out of sight.

Obviously a better simulation would be nice, but I think what you actually want is to make it easer rather than accurate.

Technically it takes the cops over an hour to arrive on scene in in-game time. As well, if you bust a gat, the cops are there pretty damn fast. You can ask my friends that got dinged for an airsoft gun. They got busted at a gas station less than five minutes after the incident.

I was just asking a better simulation for Grand Theft Auto, I don't want the game too easy or too hard.

I just want the game to play fair.

6 six stars doesn't exists until a new Grand Theft Auto.

BTW, the cops simulation isn't what I expected but,one problem.

Cop cars are too close to spawn anywhere... even while your driving to escape.

Random cop spawns is meant to simulate an officer already being in the area and responding - sometimes this is silly e.g. the dessert but for the most part it works.

Cops will appear to hunt you down by smell sometimes - but they don't just come right at you unless you've just offended e.g. member of the public reports you - this was meant to simulate the intelligence of a real officer - they don't just walk around aimlessly in real life.

I'd always love for more realistic simulation in the chase, but going beyond what they have now might be something that'd only be seen on the next-gen versions.

The game is already on the easy side of realistic compared to real life. Smarter would be nice, but I don't think 'toned down' is necessary. Doing simply things like robberies, as long as you don't kill cops, is pretty easy to get away with.

I do think a "No Cops" mode that disables achievements/revenue/rp increases (necessary to be fair) could be a lot of fun for messing about though.

Edit: as for the cops video - in real life if you were a mad-man known for murder running around with a machine gun - they probably wouldn't tackle you - but that would be pretty epic for 1 star arrests in the game.

Edit2: sorry I can't remember the source link, it was months ago

There's nothing wrong with having stupid ideas. There's also nothing wrong with voicing your stupid ideas, but when people like you, who are obvious trolls, post 4 or 5 topics a day that are usually all closed because they are utterly stupid and pointless, it gets annoying.

The moral of the story is either get better ideas for topics, or post less. Either way people like you don't last long here after they go down the spiral of terrible topics.

I don't think they actually will make big changes, but next gen makes improving simulation possible.

If it doesn't generate new revenue for Rockstar, I'd expect any changes to be 'tweaks' and big changes in the next title.

I suspect it's mostly content they'll be adding for the next few years.

The PS3 graphics are not so good compare to the PS4 version.

Why didn't Rockstar do this in the first place?

The Police need to be turned up, not toned down. There isn't enough roadblocks in the streets or bridges (especially bridges), and the roadblocks need more cops and vehicles. This is a must at least for 4-5 stars.

They also should add the 6th star back. I want the national gaurd to get deployed at 6 stars with barracks trucks, Lazers, Rhinos, and Buzzards.

If anything is to be 'toned down' by the cops it's their speed. Idk why the f*ck a cop car can keep up with a super car on a straightaway.

I would like some ghetto cops lol

When they block you with their cars all be like 'busted nigga' then it would be funny if they could make jokes like 'u busted or naah'
