GTA V sales prediction

Do you think that GTA V for CG & PC will be a huge success?, Although the game will be

released for PC and CG consoles one year after the LG consoles release.

My estimates are those:

-Total sales within two months after the release of the game-

 

Currently 8.1 million PS4 units sold and 4.5 mln xbox one units sold

Sales of GTA V Estimated by these numbers: PS4 - 4m XBOX ONE - 1.5m

 

To get an accurate assessment, we need to add the units to be sold following the release of CG GTA V

I think that 4 million additional units of PS4 will be sold And 1.5m units of XBOX ONE

we Add it to the previous sales data: ps4 = 8, xb1 = 3, Total: 11m

 

PC estimates are:

I will give a wild guess - 12 million units, so CG + PC TOTAL: 23m

 

So what do you think?

I think that 15 percent of people who bought the game, Will buy it again (5 million)

It sold 33ml on just two Outdated Consoles,PS3/XB360 i think it will see another 7ml sales for it NG/PC Remake (Re-Release),making it an overall 40ml copies sold Worldwide.

So 2 months after the current gen release of GTA V you expect 12,1 million PS4 units and 6 million Xbox One units out there...

...with 8 million PS4 copies and 3 million XBox One copies sold. So basically 66% of all PS4 users will buy GTA V in your opinion.

No freakin way! And i don't think that 12 million PC players will actually buy GTA V.

 

But ok, my guess after 2 months... 3 million PS4 copies, 2 million Xbox One copies and ( a wild guess) not more than 4 million PC units.

So 10-14 million in total.

I don't think you all understand. Rockstar releasing GTA V on the new consoles and PC opens up the opportunity for 10s of millions of more sales.

 

Install bases for the PS4 and Xbox One are only going to go up from here, and with a very limited library of games to play so far, a Grand Theft Auto game is going to clean house.

 

There's also not going to be another new GTA game out for awhile so people will most likely get the newest one so they can enjoy it for the next 4+ years.

 

I didn't see myself playing GTA V for 6 years like I did with GTA IV, especially since it's a 360 game and I don't plan on keeping my 360 around that much longer. But now that Rockstar is bringing the game to current machines that people are going to have for the next 6-8 years, GTA V is going to prolong it's relevancy for years and years to come.

 

This is going to once again be a must have game on the new consoles and it will most likely sell another 20 million copies between now and when the next GTA comes out, ending up with a total lifetime sales figure of about 55 million

Another huuuuuge factor that will determine what kind of initial sales the game brings on the new consoles and PC depends on how well Rockstar markets the game in the months leading up to release.

 

If they do it to the degree they originally marketed GTA V for 360/ps3, then were going to see this game come out of the gate with insane first week sales once again. Potentially tapping in to at least 30-50% of the ps4 and Xbox one's install bases.

 

I know that number seems quite high, but only games like GTA and Cod can do that. More so with GTA, a game that people know will last and be relevant for years to come.

I'd say the consoles will sell 2 - 4 million in total. PC is not worth mentioning giving that historically PC Sales are very low compared to consoles.

I think you don't understand! ^^ He didn't ask for sales within the next years. It's about total GTA V sales within two months (pc + cg).

10 to 14 million copies that will be shipped within the first couple of months, or maybe even more, sounds like a reasonable guess to me. It has definitely has the potentional to push the next-generation consoles, similar to what GTA IV did with the PS360 systems in 2008. The console sales were increased by ~125% within a week, I think, when IV came out. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if something like that would happen again with the release of the remastered editions of V. Who knows, it could be even more this time considering that the PS4 and Xbox One are selling insanely fast.

Grand Theft Auto: V's sales figures for Last Generation consoles were absolutely unprecedented. My gut inclination is that the Current Generation Grand Theft Auto: V is going to amass impressive sales figures that have the potential to supersede those of its predecessor.

I was thinking along the lines of 10 million, but yes this seems a bit realistic.

 

But let's not count out us PS3/360 players that may later buy the game on PC too for the fun with mods.

12 million on PC in two months? Yeah, that's not happening. It would be nice, because then R* might reconsider how they release on PC. It will be around 3 million on PC and about 6 million on consoles.
