dxivilea
gta online is a piece of sh*t with all those retarded levels and sh*t, they should just do a free mode where EVERYTHING is unlocked and FREE and you can use all the trainers and mods you want and not have any rules (except for rules which the server host can apply, like no weapons etc...) Drifty1337
Perfectly reasonable... GTA IV had nothing to it. gta V has more gameplay online, it now has progression through levels unlike IV. No reason to mod online anyway...

That would be boring as f*ck for people that dont use mods. And then DLC's would cost money.. fefenc

Man, that sounds like a game I'd play for a day, boring as hell. Where's the fun in having all from the start? Where's the challenge? The sense of progression? I really hope GTA:O has tolerance 0 for mods. I don't care about what people do with their single player experience, but in a multiplayer environment we have to be all the same, with the same possibilities, if not the experience will be ruined. Fireman Sam
Everyone who's modded previous GTAs to any degree should know that you have a folder where it's modded, and a separate folder where it's not. All you do is use the .exe you require, and you can use online features without worrying. OP is a scaremonger. Well, what do you know. The FBI almost got hold of the Cloud Service. The FBi were concerned of the cloud service, for whoever was doing illegal sh*t.

Wylight
Pff, I couldn't care less. They can ban me from GTA Online for life, I don't give two steaming sh*ts about it since I was always interested in the SP. And on top of that, SP+mods = something that I wouldn't give up on even if I was payed to play GTA Online instead.

I'm currently convinced that you're either a basement dwelling, nit witted conspiracy theorist or an underage kid looking for attention. Either one is highly likely. Do not tell people what to do when you're in the wrong, if they mod and somehow get banned it's their own fault. theNGclan
Rockstar could just, you know, force consistency on data files and not allow custom data files. In fact, if it detects a data file is different it could just load the vanilla one from their servers. Trust me, I've been modding for several years now and I can assure you that Rockstar can allow mods in their game and still have a fluid experience. Andreas
I have read through the topic a little, admittedly not in detail. I see that Snowden has been brought up once and I see that the FBI and NSA have been brought up multiple times. I also see is that some of the fears in various posts are totally out of proportion. Not to mention that there are some unnecessary arguments in here, too. It is a well known fact that hacking the online component of a game is prohibited. What else do you expect? You ruin the experience of your fellow gamers by hacking and cheating in GTAO or any other multiplayer game for that matter, which is why you can get banned for it. I honestly don't think that this will end well, so I'm going to lock this. Lastly, I remember this was discussed not too long ago in either the V or the Online forum.
