Wildlife DLC for Current Gen (PS3/360)

When all you've got to boast about in life is a powerful PC, you take every opportunity to do so.

 

 

Can't handle what? A few NPC animal models? Are you kidding me? It's just a few models of some animals, I don't see the problem here. Have you ever thought that those animals seen in the new trailer could very well be DLC bundled up with PS4 version already on the disc? We are just waiting for it to be DLC for PS3/360. I imagine it will come out with, or maybe right before the story DLC. A few NPC animals shouldn't mess the game up. After all, it's just a few Cats, Pugs, and Hammerhead Sharks. No Idea if they plan on adding more than that, but I'm sure they could put in most of it as DLC. Also, Undead Nightmare did the same thing with new animals, it brought new stuff like the Chupacabra among a few other animals. So this shouldn't be a problem at all, especially if the Wildlife comes bundled with the Story DLC.

Those new models are Next Gen exclusive. Look it up on R* Newswire. So if the last gen could/can handle more models and AI why didn't they implemented it from the very beginning? Just to sell as a DLC later? Come on. Some animals from RDR weren't in Undead Nightmare such as snakes, armadillos, skuns, birds, deers. The new animals that were UN you're talking about replaced other animals that were removed, RDR: UN had less animals than the Vanilla RDR. The reason why they're releasing these Next Gen versions is because those will fullfill Rockstar's vision, which wasn't possible on PS360.

 

If that's the case, how on earth are they going to implement all the other new features that will undoubtedly come with the SP Story dlc?

Before claiming we all got screwed, I want to assume that the new wildlife will be included in the SP DLC. Why put out a game with more features than the previous versions? PC and NG is not a big enough market to add special changes such as those. The PC/NG versions is more of a "GOTY" edition than anything else.

Seriously doubt that, just like they said.. they added these new features because they're taking advantage of the extra memory they're working with, so just take that answer for now.

I still don't think of that happening, they're only for PS4, Xbox One and PC. But they've added vehicles in gta v on older consoles, so perhaps maybe?

No way animals are going to be DLC. Since they are porting the game to next generation console, they're taking advantage of adding new features along with a more realistic environment, thus the new animals.

no chance. animals aren't dlc. it's part of the "vanilla" game.

 

the PS4/XB1/PC versions will have all this extra stuff simply because they couldn't put it in the PS3/360 versions. you need to realise that these consoles are 8-9 years old! cuts had to be made somewhere for it to run decently: reduce amount of wildlife, lower density of peds/vehicles, lower resolution and textures, lower fps, lower destruction detail and simpler weather effects.

 

we're getting all that stuff back because the hardware of the PS4/XB1/PC are more powerful and can handle it all. you won't need to pay to get it. well of course you'll have to buy the actual game! but it won't be DLC.

Last gen console cannot run the game when new animals like cat are introduced in the game.new animals will be one of the reason people will be buying the next gen version.if you want new animals then buy the pc version.there will be hundreds of animals added to the game whenever the game is updated.

Thank you. They can add cars and change monuments in game but they can't add more animals? No one is saying the streets have to be filled with cats (although cmon that would be awesome)

I'm just glad on the new version animals will actually spawn while you have Chop out! For some reason, when you walk Chop he is the only animal out in the entire city (except cows).

^ What they achieved with GTAV is incredible though. I mean jesus christ 512 mb of RAM, 512 f*cking mb of RAM, that's insane. It's understandable that there's cuts here and there and I mean the game needs really 100% of the power of both PS3 and 360. I'm suffering bad fps a lot, I deleted all of my games stored on the HDD (PS3) and other stuff, it runs a bit better now but still frame drops in Los Santos at daytime. It's really frustrating and destroys the fun and I can't wait to experience GTAV in all its glory without fps issues on PC or PS4. I have yet to decide because I have no proper PC atm nor have I a PS4.

It sounds nice, but it won't happen. R* isn't just selling graphics. They want/need it to be a better game, so we have another reason to buy. You notice how some people keep saying stuff like "I'm not buying the same game just for better graphics".

PS3 and XBOX 360 wont have any problems regarding the new animals, but the problem is where, when, and how they spawn.

So adding the new animals wouldn't hurt, but they need to tone down the spawning significantly so there's no performance loss.

Once the PS4/XB1/PC version is released, expect to see the support for the PS3/360 versions to completely cease... console limitations will be cited as the main reason.

Oh I agree with your point that the new version of GTA V will have much more then just a few new animals etc, I was just using that as an example because I highly doubt we'll see features like that on ps3/360.
