refusion28
Long development times due to the PC version being built alongside the last gen versions, as well as the goal of having it fit right in with the PS4 and Xbox One releases. It was too good of an opportunity to pass up, I'd say. I'm willing to bet there were also general development and technical issues, as well. But hey, its coming now. That's all that matters. It's a transition to a new generation. I'm sure It's quite rough for all devs. luckly r* are not delaying it 6 months after console release that will grind my gears
Vicetopia
It's already been delayed an extra 6 months more than usual. No more delays!!!
TaikaJamppa
i don't see the point in releasing V for next gen now that its on current gen. i mean, its only good for those who do not have V and have a next gen console. or those who are hell bent on having better quality on a console. and thats not many people. PC release is far better choice. purely for modding. nothing else. it'll carry the GTA name on for another few years at least. Because IT'S EASY! Why do you think there are so many "Remastered" games coming out for the PS4/XBO? The games are already made. Console gamers will gladly pay for the same game twice ($120?) in order to get slightly better graphics. Oh boyyyy. Yeah. That is true. For example I bought one of those classic PS1 games for PS3 for the price of 5 €, and that was not so different of the original version. But the point here is, I bought GTA San Andreas originally for PS2, and then I bought it again for PC. Now I have so far bought GTA SA for 3 times, since my first disc to PS2 went and broke up... Just didn't work. But anyway, I am glad they re-make these for new next generation consoles, especially the oldest classic games that were so well rated back in the day. My personal favorite is, of course SA, but GTA 5 is not bad either. For me, GTA V is my favorite of the new generation and SA for old generation. Never tried GTA 1 or 2 though, for that long... aragond
I was just wondering why it has taken them so long to get a PC version announcement? I'm gonna go wiiiiiiiith . . . programming. Yes, I know I'm going out on a limb here, y'know, with it being software an' all, but I reckon that's the likely reason. Performer
Why did they need so "long"? Very simple answer: Because they wanna avoid another GTA IV PC. Case closed. Topic should be locked! Xerukal
sivaG
There are so many different answers for this question. Some might say that it's gotta do with the programming and optimizing, while others might say that it is because of Rockstar's desire of milking every single penny out of the last gen consoles. I, personally, feel that it's gotta do with their idea of releasing the game with PS4 and Xbox One. Unless Rockstar officially blows their cover and announces the reason for the delay -which is not gonna happen actually, everybody is gonna put their own theory. wildstyle91
No it didn't take too long to release, but it was too long before any announcement.
