That won't be too bad. My Max Payne 3 install is 30 GB and I downloaded that in about two hours tops. So another 5 GB shouldn't take longer. On Steam, anyway.

And my internet isn't even that good. The peak is like 3.0 MB/s. Stays at 2.1 or 2.5 most of the time (again, according to Steam).

idk where you live but 2-3MB/s is VERY good where i live (i personally get about 6.8MB/s)

My guess is at 30GB, with the Steam Download being smaller because of the way Steam handles downloading (I don't know much about it, but I recall that Steam compresses files for downloading. Say, you want to download a 10GB game, you probably will only download 5-6GB.)

With the statement from IGN that the game got over 3000 new animations for weapons alone, I'm guessing it's gonna be over 40 and not more than 67 GB in total.

I just hope the download size isn't that big, like 30GB it's enough, I could download La Noire in a few hours (and it's 25gigs) at 1.5 Mb/s.

40GB is what I support. 30GB, hmm... a bit too low I suppose, after all the new animations and stuff. 50GB? Nah. So 40GB it is.

Don't hope. Be realistic. if Max Payne 3 was a LENIAR game with no animals or pedestrians or vehicles, that took about 29GB(says 35) GTA V in an OPEN WORLD sandbox with vehicles, animals, pedestrians, weather etc... it's gonna be twice if not three times the size.

MP3 uses HD pre-rendered cutscenes... How many times do we have to say that?

Uhm, I think the game will be 48 GB on new gen. So 50 would be realistic for PC.

LOL! All you guys have to wait for the game to download. While I'm going to get the physical disk and enjoy the game early. And yeah, Hope you don't get screwed downloading. Conclusion:I don't care whatever the size it's gonna be.

Now, if only there was some kind of Steam feature that would let you download an encrypted version of the game early.

If only..

Hopefully the preload doesn't begin just a day early if the game is really 40 gigs or bigger, because I sure as hell won't be able to download that then. I think 5 days would be best, but I might ask for too much.

I would say about 15 gigabytes considering the size it is on the consoles.

15? That's smaller than EFLC. Maybe the compressed download file. but definitely atleast 30 when installed.

Just saw the game on the XBL store, the size of it is 42.44 GB. 50GB doesn't look like it's as far off as people were making it out to be a few weeks ago.

It's probably going to be 45-50 then.

True, but they could still be tweaking it and adding a few new features in. After I saw it on the XBLS I figured it would be around 45.30GB after release?

I'd rather measure this game in "hours" myself, because that's what i think makes a "fun game"! Now i'm not saying that "quality" should suffer, but with games like these you actually expect a fair balance between these two! As for how much space it will require well...It won't be more than 20-30 (at least on PC) and its quite a lot if you think about it! But like i said size doesn't really matter! I've seen several games, which took about 7-8 hours to complete and were rather err...Uninspiring to say the least, but the same time their size usually ranged between 10 and 20 gbs!...

40GB for consoles was confirmed and preload started. If that amount of preload time is on PC, I'm gonna get it on Steam.

Only saw the one for XBONE and thought it's gonna be for both that way. Let's hope PC is only 45GB or something like that.

That could be just some of the game so it can't be torrented immediatly. And it updates over the days upto release. (I know Farming Simulator 15 did it)

I'm sorry, are you comparing the best game ever created for consoles to the worst game that was ever thought of?

A day one patch to make the game playable? I'm sure there's pretty damn many people out there without a Internet connection planning on buying this. How would they be able to play at all?

Also, there's no point in doing something like this for Xbone and PS4, there's currently no way to run pirated games on them.

Edit: I just realized we're in the PC section, so you're likely talking about PC. My bad

I know making fun of Simulator games is one of the best past times, many people are ironically playing them just because the game is aimed at a very selective group of people.

That said, these simulator games are actually very well made and in comparison to some other developers, they're even better. It seems especially Germans enjoy these types of games.

Personally, the only simulator I enjoy for reasons unknown, would have to me OMSI 2. It has the most minute details in it, which I always pay attention to. It is also one of the most breakable games ever, so it is also fun in that respect. Farm Simulator is just one of those things that everyone makes fun of because of its boring point, and horrible physics. They are aimed for a select area of people, but not most of population actually takes the game seriously.

Very true. The "breakable" aspect goes for most of them with the wonky physics and bugs that can be triggered by the player. These developers don't expect the majority to pick this up or be excited for the next release, they're making these games because there's simply no competition and there's a lot of potential for new games.

I actually have some friends who have currently logged over 20 hours in the latest Farming Simulator 15 and are genuinely enjoying it.

Edit: Okay, so I gotta make this post relevant to the thread before it gets deleted. 48,76GB on PC, called it.
