jdkzombie
Ok, so it's a good thing they are releasing a remastered version, but I wonder what will be different between them. I'd interested in hearing what people hope to find in a GTA V on both, much more powerful consoles, and for those of us that also have extremely powerful gaming computers. Personally, Un-cap speed. Longer draw distance. Better over all physics. (silly old battlefield me secretly wishes for bullet drop physics, then I'd play free aim) Less artifacting. What I am hoping is that with the new capabilty to use up to 5 gb of RAM ( both consoles use about 3gb for their OS ) and the 32Gb limit for most computers, that we can finally un lock the 140 mph speed restraint. When we have a system powerful enough to load the entire world into memory, you can have Adder's that do 250, you could have sports bikes that hit 200+, you could actually get that feeling of blistering, eye watering, balls to the walls speed. ( Personally, it's always been annoying when my engine sounds like I am hitting 180 or more, yet I barely cruise past someone on the highway ) With the entire map loaded into memory, you can spawn in more people, more traffic, more clutter, dense bushes, trees, things that bring life and "depth" to an online world. Longer draw distances mean that flying around means you could actually see helicopters further away, possibly making evading police helicopters in flight potentially easier. Longer draw distances also mean longer sniping distances, I mean we have the heavy sniper, which is obviously modeled after the Barret .50, so it stands to reason that we should have an extra zoom for the scope, and reach out and touch someone 2000m away, which would be an amazing accomplishment if there were bullet physics, instead of the lazer beam bullets we have now that have no flight deviation. Better overall physics implies that I wish that driving was a little "looser" overall, like for drifting around corners at speed, as it is now, there really isn't much power drifting outside of a very limited amount of cars. What I mean, is how driving was in IV, where you could take corner after corner sideways and roast the hell out of your tires in doing so, and it was controlled, not how it is now, where you are never really in control, because your car with either immediately spin out, or slow down considerably ( because of crappy transmission shifting physics), or you will simply understeer like a brick ( looking at you Elegy). I'm not asking for Forza, or Gran Turismo car physics, but loosen the reigns up a bit. Better overall physics means I hope that character rag dolling was more realistic, especially if you happen to slip on a mountain side, prepare to laugh your ass off, and or scream as your body lazily rolls down the mountain. Better overall physics implies more refined character control, and gunplay, so free aim doesn't feel like you are trying to wade through hip deep molasses to swing your gun around. The artifacting is prevalent when you pull into the customs shop, and you can see all the sharp angles and imperfections in the design of things because of the constraint bought about by a now very inferior xbox 360/ps3 combo. Lastly, I really hope that they improve character creation, and character customization. I hate to say this, but they need to adopt what Saint's Row has. Saint's Row has amazingly in-depth character creation and clothing/accessories options. Want your chick to run around nearly naked because you are into that thing? Done. Want your guy to be ridiculously muscle bound with green skin and purple shorts? Done. Want your guy to look like Neo from the matrix? Good news! There's an outfit for that! I'm not saying go stupid with it and lower the standards to the weird stuff that happens in Steelport, but the world of GTAO could be improved substantially if our characters didn't look A)retarded because of poor design and a ridiculously lame creation screen, B) we had more options for clothing. ( swat gear, joke outfits, merryweather outfits, gimp suits, pimp suits, hood clothing ((families gear, ballas, vagos)). Anyways, these were just some observations and horizon-less hopes I had while reading up on the E3 releases and conferences today. Anybody else have anything to put down? ~Tiger~
Biohazard Abyss
Longer draw distance is just going to make the map feel even smaller, which is why GTA San Andreas's map feels much larger than V's. I wouldn't consider that a good thing. I doubt the driving physics are going to change. I also REALLY doubt character customization is going to improve. Only thing I would be excited about buying GTAV on next-gen, is the increased amount of traffic, and animals online, if included. Would make the online world feel more alive, as it feels dead compared to single player. Arya35 and Baltharuch
AlexSniperBullet
Only thing i like about GTA 5 on PS4 is the texture. any gamer would buy a game because of it's texture and detail.
Luther_Vandross
I'd like to look out the window of my high-rise apartment and see actual city life below, not some ghost town.
GTA-Freak-Vi
Nice post The fact that I saw a cat in that trailer is making me moist already, please R* let the animals be available online I'm also hoping for cloth physics(just like SP) as well as hair physics. Also they might be a high chance of getting a cockpit view option too. Edited June 11, 2014 by GTA-Freak-Vi

Zanje
Im just hoping for an increase in traffic, both on foot and road to make the city feel more alive like it does in SP. That and this allows me to consolidate all my console online gaming into PSN so i do not have to keep two subs active.

jdkzombie
Yes, animals back into online would be a boon I'm sure. Perhaps even open up hunting mini games up north, and the possibility of mountain lions either aiding or hindering your escape from the police if on foot. I'm really hoping they add in a lot more trees and shrubbery in the bush. green and brown ground is pretty playstation 2/xbox original honestly. Like mentioned earlier, more traffic would be nice, could open the doors for more super/sports cars to spawn that you rarely see in online, but saw in SP. More options instead of a line of 15 sadler's or back to back manana's. Online feels very empty compared to single player, and I have reason to believe that's from power limits on the ps3 and 360. Trying to load a few blocks for each player in the room, and load all the code needed for NPC interaction, traffic and such really eats away at the 512 mb memory limit of last gen. I'm excited to see what is to come, but I have this feeling they are going to with-hold things to make the jump to current gen more lucrative, like heists, maybe XP events, more money, stuff like that. I'm excited as hell, for Halo 5, Fable legends, The Division, Project Spark, and The Witcher 3. Forza horizon 2 as well. And the next Tomb Raider.
