Get money for successfully reporting glitchers/hackers

Hackers helped me out alot tho.. They gave/give me money when I need it, they give me cars when I need them, they make me invisible when needed.. It's the noob hackers that discovered a hack and wanna play around with it are the ones you should watch out for. Most of the hackers I know don't do anything to harm players (other then the fact that most of you want heist.. but their still gonna do it, trust), they actually help them out

From what I do in free roam, kids would just report people like me.

Millions of useless reports with no proof.

Seeing how we're keeping the GTA Online clean by reporting them to Rockstar Games. we should be rewarded. like claiming a bounty.

 

This will help keep the cheating community down a bit since they would be overwhelmed by the hunters. it's perfect.

Guys, OP makes it clear that you need to provide proof in order to get a reward, so therefore spamming false reports = no cash, so learn to read the post.

I think it's a really good idea, though i'm not sure if Domislives YouTube channel and his videos count as proof lol.

I like the idea, but a community should self moderate to a degree (that's what the reporting system is for) and not be rewarded for it, cause then they may have to deal with more and more flooded bogus reports

Let's set a few things straight:

 

1) If I see another poster using a homophobic slur in this thread, they will be banned permanently and immediately. My patience for people who think "fa**ot" or any variation thereof is an acceptable term to use on a public forum has worn thin.

 

2) If you want to voice disagreement with the OP's idea, please do so via a medium other than meme images or totally unwarranted aggression. If you are incapable of doing so, get the f*ck off this forum.

 

3) Any continued discussion of alleged hacking attempts or relayed activity is to be done via PM and not in the thread. If you have something to say on the issue I'm more than happy to hear it.

I get a good feeling that these people will be sent to the bad sport pool, and that's honestly enough for me to report them. A reward system would be abused way too often and wouldn't be worth the hassle.

every unfair player hunt gives $25k bucks ( exception for tank griefers , since buying it legitly have right to use it . but for trolls for blowing PV over and over , just report on online>player>nickname>report ) . this will scare the modders , however this can also countered if modders froze whole player aside the user

SPMP, I did it, never got reported.

 

Matte/pearlescent glitch, oOoOoO much game break. No. That too isn't harming anyone. Why should I waste my time reporting. It's pointless.

 

Only a handful of glitches in this game are harmless.

-False reporting. I think that in order to get the reward, you need to send lots of proof in order to really verify your claims. Any report that doesn't have any proof should not get a reward.

 

Also the reward shouldn't be high. More like 5000 IMHO. < 100.000 is a bit too much.

Well R* would only go after unfair glitches like wall breaching. They should state a warning that reporting fair glitchers will lead you to badsport. or a warning

 

R* usually ignores emails and such that don't have any proof.

It is still working Mavelously ! glitched 40 cars, trucks and bikes into 4 garages over the last 3 days. Set my 2 new characters up with a $1 mil nest egg

god i get reported for cheating everyday, i have even been put into dodgy status by crews that got owned by me.

 

putting a cash reward on reports would only make the thing get abused even more.

you kill one guy in self defense and he calls in everybody he can. then they start reporting you for griefing before voting to kick you out. just because their crew of crappy players cant kill you. a reward system would just be abused by the same players.

 

in the end it doesn't matter since rockstar doesn't do anything to people you report and half the time trying to report another player just hard freezes the console.

I'm a community manager for another online gaming community. Incentives for reporting cheaters is not the best way to go.

 

For one, you get millions of trivial reports, then you get players creating secondary accounts to report themselves and gain the incentives on their main account.

 

Players should be reporting because they want to keep the game clean, not because they can gain something out of the deal.

Well rockstargames wouldn't be stupid enough to fall for a self reporting.

 

Rockstar Games is probably discussing about it now on how it should work and function. Even this idea threw everyone into chaos on the Community Support and hasn't been deleted. smh

bad idea. Reporters will report whether they get paid or not, it's what they do. And cheaters will find a way to take advantage of the situation somehow.

 

A more productive thing to do would be for R* to actually punish cheaters. Until they start doing that, I see no reason to report anyone. R* clearly doesn't care, so neither do I.
