PC version to feature upgraded AI

Recommended Posts

Hopefully that doesn't mean upgraded accuracy as well, given the cops and enemies in general seemingly never miss as it is now.

Bring 'em on.

I didn't reinstall Max Payne 3 for nothing. My right hand has been turned into an organic aimbot. All those headshots on hardcore difficulty are finally going to pay off in GTA V.

Come at me LSPD, and you too Fort Zancudo.

I have an idea the npc car drivers were made dumb deliberately to make V harder. If it wasn't for that you could blast through the whole of Los santos at 120mph and never hit anything. Peds propensity to do very stupid things makes you slow down. Might not be needed if there are more cars. Also, have you noticed how in a crash, you are always turned into the impact, rarely away from it?

Sounds stupid, but it could be true. Of course R* is trying all to make the world feel big, also the city. However, I have never played V before and if they think they can get 60 Euro for that game, I wont buy it. I am even considering to wait, because a very important year in university starts in September, so not sure if I could handle all my real stuff with that game, cause in the end I would sit in front of my PC playing it all day and night. Anyway I think I will download the game. Cause for such a long waiting time R* doesnt deserve anything else.

And of course secretly I am also optimistic for the new improved AI etc. but in the end I will be disappointed, just like when they announced V and more and more details came out. Everybody is getting their hopes up and some here are creating or trying to create massive hype. I hope these guys here arent R* employees.

I want to remind to everybody that there is an extra year of development for the PC version, so obviously this won't be just a port like GTA IV was.

Aye. Ye ol' build logs also back this up. CTRL + F "PC" to see all the entries since 2012. Loads of stuff in there. I keep spreading the word about it to people who may not know. They've been proven legit and reliable, since they were checked for legitimacy by many people at launch back in September. They were found in the 360 and PS3 files.

Two years on development on this thing, lads. We've got ourselves a gem. Don't you worry.

Side note: Why can't I stop talking like a sailor? Am I gradually turning into a pirate?

I hope this truly means smart AI and not overpowered AI that can shoot you from half a mile away weaving between traffic at high speeds.

But nevertheless this is good news. Now if only they'd do something about the annoying turbulence and swaying of helicopters and planes.

Maybe someone can make a mod that eliminates (or reduces) those effects and also develop a script that lets us leave the engine running when we get out of a car like in IV!

Yea that would be annoying but that is whats great about it being on PC, we can end up making them shoot each other from half a mile away instead :D

May I ask how you got that build log?

It was found in September 2013 by what I assume is a group of people all at a different time. So they all confirmed their findings together, and so it was concluded that they were legitimate, since so many people were finding them.

I know someone put the build logs in that Google Doc, though. Very helpful. Someone named CarLover, I think? Memory escapes me.

I hope by improved AI, they also mean the AI's activities, too. I'd like to come across to peds who plan a trip to the park and then actually go there. Or maybe I'm asking for a little too much.

This is not a only PC Feature. In the order description from PS/XboxOne is the same text ;)

Not on the Newswire post it isn't. I posted the direct comparison in the OP. No "upgraded AI" sentence is found in the second text.

Right, not on the Newswire, but in the order description. Like i said :p

Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation®4 will take full advantage of the power of the new generation system to deliver across-the-board enhancements including increased resolution and graphical detail, denser traffic, greater draw distances, upgraded AI, new wildlife, and advanced weather and damage effects for the ultimate open world experience.

Same with XBoxOne

Oh, you meant pre-order. I thought the "order" was just a typo for "other".

Alright then. My mistake.

Lets hope that by "improved AI" they meant so that they won`t crash into you whenever you are in a car. Yesterday some stupid NPC made a left turn right in front of me during a race, I crashed. Then! What happened then is he continued to drive straight. WTF?! Are they programmed to intentionally make us crash?

And they will come at you until you are dead. These motherf*ckers have endless resources, they are like the Sovjets during World War II.

Oh god damn Rockstar, stop making me want to drop money on a new rig :(

EDIT: Just noticed this has been found in all next gen product descriptions, so sweet, but regardless the PC version will be the best

I want to see roadworks, and them damn unfinished skyscrapers in Downtown Los Santos gradually being finished. Also would be cool if Rockstar could actually put garbage cans outside people's houses and then the garbage men would come round at a certain time every week to pick them up. It's the little things like this that would make Los Santos feel more alive! Could these be added as a mod, as I believe the codes could be there, all's it would take is some clever sod to bring them all together into a functioning way of life in GTA V.
