A trick to get pearlescent on chrome, metals and matte paint jobs.

Some of you probably already know this but here's an easy, cheap trick to get some cool paint jobs. I'll include some pics of some variations I tested out.

 

Step 1. Go into paints and choose your chrome, matte or metal paint job.

 

Step 2. Go back to paints and choose Metallic paints but don't actually pick one.

 

Step 3. Go to license plates and choose any one. (The zentorno doesn't have a license place so change the window tint instead.)

 

Step 4. Go back to paints and choose your pearlescent paint now

 

Brushed Aluminum (metals) with Ultra Blue

Brushed Aluminum with Race Yellow pearl with Red as the Secondary. The red looks orange on some angles and turned out pretty nice.

Matte Blue with Red pearl and Black as the Secondary

Matte Black with Ice White pearl

Brushed Black Steel with Red pearl

Matte Red with Frost White pearl

Matte Black with Cream pearl

Matte Orange with Cream or White pearl and Black as a Secondary

Matte Yellow with Red pearl and Black as a Secondary. The red was very noticeable on the black

I liked the way Brushed Black Steel turned out with a Black pearlescent

I'm sure there's a few people who have never tried Metallic Midnight Purple before. No need to do the pearl trick here. You'll get some cool colours mixing it with greens, blues, orange, red, and yellow ect. Test it out.

This one is Metallic Midnight Purple with Torino Red pearl

Thanks for stopping by, please post your colour combo pics below. I'd really like to see some metals with lime green pearl. I would've done one if I had unlocked it already. Also I am not 100% on whether or not it works for chrome so hook up a picture if you can.

Another tip: You can also throw on a crew colour over the top so you have THREE layers instead of two!

Here's a better angle shot showing the blue with the Brushed Aluminum with the Ultra Blue combo.

Also I think this Jester was Matte Black with Orange Pearl with some kind of Orange as the Secondary

With this car you could go Matte Black and Red, Yellow, Green, Blue or whatever colour pearl with a similar Secondary and it will look great. Example 1. Matte Black with Race Yellow pearl and Yellow or Orange as a Secondary. Example 2. Matte Black with Blaze Red pearl and Torino Red Metallic paint as the Secondary.(somebody do this please)^^^

No I have not. I knew about the matte paint pearl trick but forgot about the metals until today. I mainly made this for the people who don't know this.

If you add a metals base first, then do the glitch an add a pearl plu your crew color you will get a more shiny coat with all three colors.
