Voodoo
Let's use this thread to discuss games from console generation six and before. Anything on PS2, XBOX, Dreamcast, Gamecube or the consoles previous or anything released in 2007 or before on PC that doesn't already have a current topic with posts in the last 12 months goes here. This will save people from having to dig up old threads and necro-bumping them. Daz and na89340qv0n34b09q340
Wayne Daniels
Cool! So much potential, so many games I want to talk about but I'll start with Tony Hawk Pro Skater- the original on Playstation 1. I loved that game so much, it was so fun. That's all my friends and I used to do. The cheats were awesome as well. Voodoo
I was thinking the same. Criterion really screwed the pooch on that. Pure gun porn. E - This guy explains it perfectly. Edited June 11, 2014 by Voodoo Daz
GunWrath
Yeah, I enjoyed the hell out of Black back in the day.. it's definitely time for it's return. EA has the manpower and ability. I rather it stick to single player though.. don't ruin it with multiplayer. I wouldn't mind seeing some other old school games make some returns; California Games (make it cool though, not some Kinect f*ck all) Pitfall Jungle Strike Battletoads (imagine dat co-op) Toe Jam & Earl Comix Zone Road Rash what was that one roller skating game where you skitched on the back of cars and sh*t? Well yeah, that one too
Daz
There is a new Road Rash game, being made by the original developers, "Road Redemption" or something like that, I believe it is still on kickstarter. They estimated it might have been out by now, but the gameplay didn't look all that great. I would love a big budget new Streets of Rage style game, too bad that genre is completely dead. The most I can hope for is a lot of these on demand via XBL or PSN with improved integration for co-op. I would love the arcade version of Mercs with co-op over XBL. The problem is they overprice some of that sh*t like mad. Bundle them all in a large game pack and that would be more appealing.
Th3MaN1
If I'd have to choose a favorite old-school game, it has to be Mega Man X3. Holy f*ck, that game. The series went downhill after X5, but I try to ignore the games after the fifth one. Maximum Carnage is probably the only LJN game that's pretty f*cking good. Daz
A Die Hard Trilogy HD update would be amazing. I would kill to play that game again. Sadly even on an emulator and with the original disc, it still doesn't play the music, and that was half of the atmosphere. Fireman
All the remakes from classic games so far have been utter sh*t though. Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition was basically a mod someone else already made, Age of Empires remake was the worst of all remakes so far, with worse animations after "enhancement" and worse-looking buildigs/structures (we made this tower thinner, look at the enhancement!). GunWrath
Not going to lie, I even played the hell out of True Lies game back in the day. I enjoyed it. Anyone here ever been huge into the old school gameboys? I remember playing Paperboy and Contra the most. Even bought accessories for it like the magnifying glass that attached to it and had a light. Good days.. sucks getting old.. because the cost of those machines and games these days are quite pricey.

Th3MaN1
Not going to lie, I even played the hell out of True Lies game back in the day. Played the f*ck out of Contra. BTW, I think this is a good place to talk about my latest buy, Fallout 1+2. For starters, I haven't gotten down to play FO1, only 2, because I start with the sequels (f*ck numbers), and I have to say it's a masterpiece. Bought both games for 2$, and I feel like I stole from the guy. Even the graphics looked appealing to me, and a positive for me is that it's not utterly freaking complicated, like most RPG's tend to be. A little hard to catch on controls, but nothing 10 minutes of playing won't erase. Combat is, at the same time, fast and slow. I like how getting slow to an enemy basically gives a new style of play, where you have to think strategically what you want to do. The RPG side of the game is brilliant. Much customization, lots of abilities, and the optional abilities were quite a surprised to me, in a good way. If there's anything bad I can say about this, it's that the options in the menu require pressing the little red button, which is a little nit-picky. Also, I dunno if it's just my game, but it takes f*cking forever to quit. You have to wait until the screen goes white, then back to normal. I mean, WTF is up with that? In short, I hope this game is going to be long, because I'm going to rape it. Voodoo
Voodoo
FO2 is longer than FO1 but both are extremely well written and engaging. I've replayed FO2 so many times I've lost count. Th3MaN1

Fireman
Blasto was legendary, though the game itself was just a platform the character himself is awesome. I still use his name for other games now. I made some Baldur's Gate 2 mods for myself, new character, new weapons and armor, focused on a crazy gnome inventor, you can compare the Enhanced Edition to the normal edition as well with the spell effects looking differentally; Original: Enhanced edition:
