I only spent the same amount of money on building my PC as I did buying a PS4 and new TV together, and can run most games from the last 6 or so years no problem.

Console buying is simple: go to the store and pick one up. PC requires more research and know how so you won't get shafted when building or buying one.

With piracy and hacking, it's easier to do on the PC.

 

I'm not worried about piracy because anyone with an IQ over 50 should realize if they join GTAO with it they'll likely end up getting banned/account trashed. But hacking (money/cars etc) might jump up for a few weeks after release unless they've nailed every hole.

Technology wise yeah but there is other factors for me at least.

 

I have both as well, just depends on personal preferences. One thing for me is the default controller the game is designed to work with. I prefer GTA on consoles *but* would rather remove my nutsack than play a pure first person shooter with a console controller.

 

PC version with manual aim could get pretty hardcore though.
