Crimson Flam3s Posted June 10, 2014 Share Posted June 10, 2014 The damage system is already better than in IV imo, the issue is that cars are tough as f*ck but once you damage them it looks more advanced. Yeah GTA IV physics had it's problems but if it's realism you're going for then GTA V is a lot further from it than GTA IV was. I'd say chances are we're gonna get improved damage, but I wouldn't say the difference is gonna be all that drastic either. I don't think R* will change the physics. If they wanted to, they could change it across all platforms. R* is talking about effects and other visual aspects. ClaudeSpeed1911 Posted June 10, 2014 Share Posted June 10, 2014 GTA 4 driving was great, the only problem was the speed and how the cars turn like a boat (the way the car body moves not how they steer). As for damage its more real in GTA5. The one thing I want them to fix is the blood because it looks like syrup, It sould be like how it was more like Max Payne 3. It's all completely subjective. I think the damage is about right as well, but again, it's all down to personal preference. V physics are not bad but the fact that cars are undestructible, helps to understimate it. For me if they had taken iv driving, made cars stick to the road more and not turn boatlike, and supercars feel more "advanced" then it would be perfect. The closest in V for me is muscle cars(which I hated in iv lol). If rockstar Took the slipper cars cheat, and reduced the effect to like 60% and increased the car deformation at high speeds it would be near perfect IMO. Too bad the cheat it's not like slow mo where the effect starts out soft, and exponentially increments every time you input it.
