32 players or 64 players?

GTA Master 007

Will next gen and pc have 64 or 32 player multiplayer? I know the pc is more than capable of 64 players even a 100, but I'm not to sure about the ps4 and xbone being able to manage. So what is it?

 

Will it be:

16 players - x360, ps3

32 players - ps4, xone

64 players - pc?

I prefer a lot of people over the next guy, but do you really think you're gonna have fun playing this game Online with 64 others? Have you seen the issues with not even half of that on PS3/360 in terms of idiots playing the game and not performance wise?

 

Anywhere between the 20's would be fine or low 30s

Having 64 players to track would be a LOT of downloading and a LOT of tracking. I'd say 32 for PC given the limits MP modes force onto games.

I dont think PC will have more players than PS4/XB1... I imagine they will have the same limit on players, more than likely 32 for all 3 systems.

 

Remember, BF4 had the same amount of players across PC/PS4/XB1, why would they increase the amount of players for PC, when a huge amount of their population have hardware similar in spec to a PS4/XB1, only the ultra e-peen nerds have the state of the art stuff.

 

It would make sense for them to keep the player limit the same across the 3 systems, whether it be 32 or 64 for all 3, either way its going to be awesome, & im glad my PS4 will not longer be a paperweight with Destiny, BF Hardline, GTA, No mans Sky, Tomb Raider & The Crew to keep me on it. Now I can finally get ready to blow up my PS3 in the back garden, seen as GTA was the only thing keeping me on, well... maybe Skyrim too, but hopefully thats released with PS Now.

The problem with doing this is that if Content Creator is shared on new consoles and PC they are limited to 16 players. This would mean if they wanted to utilize more it would require editing them (which hasn't been confirmed or denied by Rockstar). I'd love to see 32 people but I'll have to agree with people that it would be absolute insanity ingame. You have safe spots with 16 players but with 32 you'd have clusterf*cks of people spawnkilling over and over. Talking in Everyone chat is bad enough with 16 people, imagine 32 :|

Why do seem to think hardware was the sole reason for them limiting online to 16 players? R* probably found 16 players to be the best for their game. The game is balanced for 16 players so they will probably leave it as 16 players.

This makes sense.

 

Also, I think it'll probably stay at 16.

Isn't battlefield 4 64? If it wasn't for people with lower connections always trying to play then that would work fine.

Remember its nothing to do with the new consoles, they are more than powerful enough for it, its purely down to servers and personal internet connections.

I think 64 might be an option and I for one would welcome the chaos it brings.

Having said all of that, I'd be happy with 32 or even 24. 16 would be a little disappointing though.

Pre-ordering soon as possible, can't fkin wait.
