  1. 1. When will the preorder option on steam be available for GTA V PC?

Recommended Posts

Me: Hey guys, PC Version is secured because of this console stuff

You: OMG STOP TALKING ABOUT CONSOLES, THIS IS THE SUPERIOR PC SECTION, WE DON'T CARE ABOUT CONSOLES HERE!

Other person: 3 In Game!

You: NOW THIS IS NEWS WE SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT!

Sums up this section, face it, if it was anyone else saying this, you;d be lapping it up and saying how right they are. Y'all just biased against me.

Lol,typical Ash,always ends it with a "PC VS CONSOLE",look dude i have no problem with what you're saying about it being a near PC release sign,as i cleared it with the last post my problem is with the off topic part where it truned into a console fps argument which is irrelevant to the thread and the main subject that you brought up at first place.

That "3ingame" is more annoying than reading about consoles, ill give you that.

i really hope they will allow the game to be preloaded atleast 3 days before launch otherwise people with slow internet speeds are f*cked =|

On average Steam and developers allow preload to commence at least 12 hours before launch.

sh*t.. O_O. I really hope it won't be the case with GTA V considering its fricking 60gigs =(

it takes 40hrs for me to download 60gigs

Borderlands Pre Sequel was what, 20 something GB right? They made the pre load available 2 days prior IIRC (no regrets buying that game, it was fun for me at least).

How was the Max Payne 3 pre load?

Compression bro. Steam will compress the game for downloading. Which is why the PC download for MP3 is not 35GB but 20-25GB.

Denuvo DRM for GTA V PC confirmed. Look at that other requirements sections. Translate it in Google. "a authentication software detecting certain hardware features to check authorization and DRM". Denuvo does this job.

Denuvo denied the whole GTA V Denuvo rumor outright.

If it's not Denuvo, then something else is used. Kinda like BF Hardline's one. IF you upgrade your components, you'll have to buy the game again.

... rather unlikely.

http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/ea-infects-battlefield-hardline-with-new-ghastly-drm.html

It's a privacy breach, and can be sued. If R* dares to add an incredibly restrictive DRM, I think T2 won't allow it.

How the hell EA is still out there. They should be banned for this fiasco.

You're misinformed my friend about BFH, if you chagce too many hardware parts within a specific time frame you can't launch the game for 24 hours and that is there to prevent account sharing and is perfectly reasonable.

24 hours? Are you sure? It's permanent. After 5 upgrades, there's no way you can launch the game from the same key.

Although I don't believe it's Denuvo, they did indeed have Rockstar in their partners list, and it's in the interest of a company complying with NDA's and outright denying that they're working with Company X until the NDA is lifted.

Nope, only for 24 hours. And you have to change parts 5 times in a single day for the block to activate.

What the f*ck, why are people trying to bring up Denuvo again? Damn how bored do you people get that you need to start rehashing old rumours?

I see no problem with denuvo. The Inquisition worked perfectly on my far from the top-end PC.

If some problems do happen, it has been cracked, so an alternative will be around.

Yup. There you go. Highlighted that for you. Not everyone here owns a 980 or a 780.

Let's try that again.

OK, everything I'm about to post is circumstantial and I agree
that each of these things alone wouldn't mean much however they've all
happened within the last 5 days and their sum total equates to the chances
of another delay being very very small. So here goes.
1) On Sunday GTA Vs SteamDB page was updated with additional info which
was previously missing, some of it was previoysly listed as 'to be added
when the game is completed'.
2) On Monday pictures started to emerge of GTA V Steam Gift cards,
so far there's been at least 2 different pictures from 2 different sources.
3) On Tuesday & Wednesday users who'd pre purchased V from online retailers
noticed the release date was added to their sales receipts.
4) On Wednesday night all the final GTA V tier 1, 2 & 3 App IDs from all
the global regions were added to Vs SteamDB page.
5) Shortly after the SteamDB update on Wednesday users started to report
that entering the URL 'steam://install/271590' into their browsers caused
the GTA V download page to appear, something which before hand didn't work.
note - some users claim the URL did not work before Wednesdays SteamDB update
while others claim it did work. Possibly related to different IDs for different
tiers and regions? All this info together gives a solid indication that R finalised
the code for V at some point late last week, added the missing info to SteamDB
over the weekend, uploaded the final game files to Valves content servers early
this week then added the final App IDs and linked them to the files on Wednesday
night.
As I say, nothing here is or even can be confirmed but I think you'll agree
the evidence suggest April 14th will be release day.
See you in LS guys.

Denuvo is an evolution of Securom. Same company. That's why they had Rockstar in their list.

Guys, please just remember what happened back in January. I'm not saying it's not going to be the real release date but PLEASE don't get too excited. They've f*cked us over before.
